publix-082114I had a pretty good trip to Publix this morning! Shopping is getting a little tricky for me, because there are two people that live here and right now we are on two different diets. Mine is low calorie and hers is low carb, so the main agreement between us right now is NO BREAD! She’s eating a lot of meat these days, so she finds herself making occasional (yet too boring to post) trips to Aldi and/or Save-a-Lot. When she buys chicken or fish, I’ll usually pitch in a few bucks since those are some of the only non-plant-based products I am eating right now. (This is just a short term thing for both of us; we need to lose about 10 lbs each to fit in our nicer clothes for vacation!)

We are also trying to chip away at the stockpile, because we will be moving to a new house later this year or early next year. That’s why you will see me frequently passing on some good deals. So…unless I’m getting paid to buy it, it is unlikely you will see me buy many toothpastes, toothbrushes, cleaning and household products over the coming months.

Today at Publix I used a $5 off $30 Winn-Dixie competitor coupon from the Enjoy the City booklets that were available earlier this year. (Most of the currently available books have $5 off $50 Winn-Dixie coupons instead!)

Extreme Couponing Tip: You can usually get two prints of most internet coupons. To find them in the easiest possible way, use our preclipped links that take you right to the coupon. Then come back and click the same link to get your 2nd print. This will save you the time spent searching for the coupon.

  1. Keep your receipt after you don’t he ibotta rebate. I got the laughing cow last week and then it showed up again so I can do it again. I think you can get another rebate with the same receipt.

    • Steve Pinski says:

I would not recommend doing that. If they are tracking receipt numbers, that’s a good way to get banned and/or forfeit your accumulated earnings.

  2. Hi Steve

In regards to the yucatan guac, it was not on sale at my oldsmar publix. I still only paid .99 after coupon like you did. Just giving you a heads up. Doesn’t look like they’re on sale at all this week

    • Steve Pinski says:

I ate that first tub so quickly I couldn’t complain about $0.99. My mouth was too busy eating.
