cvs-pepsi-12-packs-dealCheck your local CVS weekly ad. If your region is like mine and has Pepsi 12-packs included in the gas card deal and on sale 4/$12 or $5 each, then you have a hot deal. Even when bought in groups of four for $12, they still track as $5 each towards the gas card. Here are a few deal ideas for you:

Shopping by yourself and only making one visit this week:
BUY FOUR 12-PACKS BOTTLED BY PEPSI (includes Dr. Pepper in some areas), on sale 4/$12 (or $5 when you buy less than four)
BUY THREE PANTENE, on sale 3/$10
Get $10 Gas Card when you buy $30 of participating items
***Because the Pepsi 12-packs track as $5, these items total $30 towards the gas card
Use one $5/3 Pantene Product coupon, 7/6 P&G newspaper insert
Price at Register: $17, but get $10 Gas Card
NET PRICE FOR ALL: $7 (or $1 per item!)

If you only want the Pepsi products, the best deal is a three transaction scenario. The limit on the gas card is higher than one and based on my receipt it is at least SIX. However, my receipt showed that I had already done the gas card deal a few times before this week, so it is a cumulative total of at least six gas cards since they started doing gas card promotions about a month or so ago.

Here is the three transaction scenario for two gas cards if you are only buying soda:

TRANSACTION #1
BUY FOUR 12-PACKS BOTTLED BY PEPSI (includes Dr. Pepper in some areas), on sale 4/$12 (or $5 when you buy less than four)
Get $10 Gas Card when you buy $30 of participating items
***Because the Pepsi 12-packs track as $5, these items total $20 towards the gas card
No coupons used
Price at Register: $12, but get $20 credit tracking towards the gas card

TRANSACTION #2 (DIFFERENT DAY IF YOUR STORE LIMITS YOU TO FOUR)
BUY FOUR 12-PACKS BOTTLED BY PEPSI (includes Dr. Pepper in some areas), on sale 4/$12 (or $5 when you buy less than four)
Get $10 Gas Card when you buy $30 of participating items
***Because the Pepsi 12-packs track as $5, these items total $20 towards the gas card
No coupons used
Price at Register: $12, but get your first $10 gas card and have $10 credit tracking towards your next gas card deal

TRANSACTION #3 (DIFFERENT DAY IF YOUR STORE LIMITS YOU TO FOUR)
BUY FOUR 12-PACKS BOTTLED BY PEPSI (includes Dr. Pepper in some areas), on sale 4/$12 (or $5 when you buy less than four)
Get $10 Gas Card when you buy $30 of participating items
***Because the Pepsi 12-packs track as $5, these items total $20 towards the gas card
No coupons used
Price at Register: $12, but get your second $10 gas card

You will spend a total of $36 out of pocket, but you will get $20 of gas cards. It is like you are paying $16 total for all twelve 12-packs (or $1.33 each!)

  1. Stephanie says:

In some areas here in AL, not sure about other states but there are $1/2 12pks or 1 24pk peelings on the Pepsi products!

  2. How exactly do you get the gas card? Do they just hand you a card with $10 on it?

    • Monica Bragg says:

At the bottom of your receipt a “ticket” like an Extra Care Bucks will print that they will turn around and use to give you your gas card. It will be preloaded with $10 and the specific gas stations very by store.

  3. Yolanda says:

Can I go to three different stores if I am limited to 4 per day?

    • Steve Pinski says:

Yes, just make sure you break them into groups of four because I think a fifth one in a transaction will ring up regular price.
