  1. I am not familiar with balance points. Can you do the deal more than once? Thanks for your post

  2. Please fill me in. What is a monthy points deal? Can I do this deal multiple times as long as I do multiple transaction. (Two boxes in each transaction)
    Thanks

    • You should be able to do multiples. Monthly points deal just means that it is a Balance Rewards points deal that runs over multiple weeks, usually the same dates as the Walgreens Monthly Coupon Book.

  3. I’m not sure of Walgreens’ coupon policy, but would they allow multiple deals in a single transaction? So could you buy 4 boxes and earn 8000 points? Also, does walgreens require you to have more items than coupons?

    Thanks!

    • You have to have at least as many items as you have manufacturer’s coupons. Some of the deals allow multiples, while others do not.

Usually the ones that do not say something like “Buy $15 or more of XYZ product” are ok for multiples, so we may be ok here. I’ll probably just break mine up to be safe.

  4. I was planning on doing this deal before you posted this. I was looking at the coupon it states “Only one coupon is redeemable per purchase and only on specified products and sizes” is this going to make it a beeper at the register? One, because there are two of these in this transaction and Two, there is an in ad coupon as well. I’m just wondering what you think Steve? Is this going to be a YMMV situation or do you think it will be ok? I know the best way is just to try, but Ive a cashier I get every Sunday that reacts the same way every time something beeps she gets frustrated and has a tissy making my trip rather annoying for both parties. I try to avoid beeps if at all possible. Whats your take on the wording for this?

    • It will not make this a beeper.

First, you are buying two, so you have made two purchases. If it said one coupon “per transaction,” “per person,” or “per customer,” then it would prohibit you from buying two at the same time.

As for “specified products and sizes,” the sizes of the products in the sale match with the limitations on the coupons.

You should have no problems :)

      • Thanks Steve! I was wondering about that. I value your opinion as you have helped me many times. I appreciate it!

  5. Steve, do you give the cashier the store coupon first, or the manufacturer’s? Every time I go I have trouble and I’m trying to figure out why. I’m following all the rules to the tee. I’m surprised it doesn’t beep when they scan my balance reward card…lol. Thanks!

    • I usually do all my store coupons first. You shouldn’t experience any beeps because the coupons don’t push your total below zero.

  6. I dont like going to walgreens much anymore. They said if I only have two items I cant use 4 coupons…. its such a hassle.

  7. Here is a picture.
It has to be THIS exact Alka-Seltzer item.

  8. I used up all of these goodies (the $2/1 Alka Seltzer coupons)
at Publix last week for overage.
