Don’t have a Publix nearby but decided to try in a neighboring town. They would not accept a competitor coupon from Target–anyone else have that problem? Thanks!

    • Publix competitors vary by location. Most stores post what stores they consider as competitors near the entrance. If you don’t see that posting, ask customer service and they will let you know.

      • Yup. There is a little piece of paper about the size of a postcard. It has the coupon policy on one side & Who that store considers a competitor (stores it accepts competitor coupons from) on the back.

        Albertson’s Ad has a $5/$50 exp 2/24/13
        Maybe that will work.

Other coupons in the Albertson’s ad include:
        $2 off/1 750ml or larger Smirnoff exp 2/24/13

        $5 off/any carton of cigarettes

$1.99 pound of butter coupon (store brand)
$1.49 5lb sack of potatoes coupon

        and more.

        • Albertsons also has 12 dark meat fried chicken for$7.99 how can you use that coupon at publix their chicken comes in 8 piece containers! Any ideas would be great? I’m still new to all this so I appreciate any suggestions you can give.

          • Now that is an interesting question. I think I will defer to customer service at your local store on that one.

          • AshleyAshley says:

My Publix has a sign in the meat area that says they’ll gladly repackage any meat products for you.

          • What is your goal? To use a dollars-off coupon at Publix?

You could always just buy that item at Alberston’s.
I think most people actually shop at more than one store chain.

Sombody on here was interested in the vodka and cigarette coupons. The coupons expire so quickly. I saw them today. So, I posted today, instead of “after-the-fact.”
The butter and the potatoes were just a good price to pick up at Albertson’s.

Most of the basic questions have been answered before.

            Gentle Suggestion:
Read the archives. Watch some couponing videos on YouTube.
Do your homework, then ask a question.

            Good Luck

  2. The only Poise products I have been able to find at my store were $7.99….am I looking in the wrong place? They would all be in the same area right? Also…The latest Best meals at home newsletter I can find is from Nov. Am I missing out on a newsletter?

    • There are still new Best Meals newsletters all the time. At my stores the $7.99 products are right next to the $3.49 and $3.99 products.

  3. AshleyAshley says:

I’ve been to three stores this week and still haven’t found any Poise products…..I also went to target this morning to do the cereal and ketchup deal, no ketchup the shelf was cleared…>.<
    I'll keep checking back.

    Good job!!

  4. AshleyAshley says:

Oh, Steve I know you’re a cat owner…I wanted to tell you, there’s a great B1G1 coupon for Friskies cat food on the target website, that can be combined with a .50 cents off 6 cans coupon manufacturer coupon, as well as the .50 cents sale at Publix this week. You could get 6 cans for a dollar. Not bad!!

    • Very nice deal. I think I’m going to have to use that coupon on dry though because we are running low. Kind of sucks that 50% off minus a $5 off $25 competitor will be the best I’ll do.

      • AshleyAshley says:

The Target coupon is for any Friskies item 5.5 ounces or larger and the maximum retail value it will alot is .69 cents. So….depending on how closely Publix holds you to that small writing, it might not work on larger bags of cat food.

        • Dang. I didn’t know about the max value. Grrrrrr…. (I haven’t printed it yet and the max value wasn’t listed in the database.)

      • AshleyAshley says:

And yea…I haven’t had a good stock up price on cat food to really go all out on lately. If I could find the Poise products I have enough to do 5 deals with stacking, so it would be an extra 15 dollars to throw toward that and be done with buying pet food for a while.

  5. Where do you get these $5 off 30 Qs?

    • Enjoy the City Books. http://www.enjoythecity.com

Wait for them to go on sale and then buy. You should be able to get books for around $2 once in a while and some editions have four $5 off $30 coupons per book, so they only cost about 50 cents per coupon.

      • They have a super great deal going on right now!!! It’s for the Ultimate books either GA or FL –
I got 75 books for $125……..and you don’t have to run, deal is good till 3/5 YAY

$1.67 per book and the Winn Dixie Q’s are good till the end of the year!!!!!!!!

  6. Awesome. That Dove body wash smells just awesome! I can see this will be on the list again in the future! That’s the beauty of coupons. You get to try new products at very low costs and often for FREE (my favorite price)!

  7. Great job Steve ! I’m just wondering if those Atkins any good ?

    • I don’t know. My roommate is going back on the low carb diet soon, so she will be the one that eventually eats them.

She was supposed to be on it already, but she keeps pushing back her start date.

    • I am a low carber because I have found that is the only way of eating that controls my hunger. When these came out, I was super excited BUT I bought just one (the chicken pot pie) at Walmart to try them out and I was HUGELY desappointed!!! It looked gross and resembled NOTHING like the picture on the box. To be quite honest, it looked like vomit!! :(
Now the taste wasn’t that bad but I told myself that I would NOT be buying these anymore, no matter how convenient they were or how good they fit into my way of eating!
That being said, since they are now free, I will give it another go, but again, ONLY because they are free and I can have them for emergencies. I would NOT pay for them again!!

  8. Does anyone know where exactly the Old Wisconsin summer sausage is located with in the store? I looked where the pepperoni’s are and only found the big rolls of them.

  9. Hey Steve, on the enjoy the city books you mentioned I went to the site and it looks like they are only offering clearance books which the WD $5/30 would already be expired. I could be missing something. How often do they come out? When is the best time to buy? Please let me know as I saved a lot of money today at Publix, but had no $5/30 or $5/25 therefor I ended up spending almost $50 OOP! They do make a huge difference in my family’s budget. Appreciate any help. Thanks you!

  10. I had one of my best trips today. I finally found the $3.49 poise products. I bought 3 poise wash, 2 Buitoni pasta, 2 Atkins meals, 3 Pepsi 2 liters, 2 Skippy peanut butter and bakery hamburger buns and my total was a -$13.94 plus $1.02 tax so I walked out of the store with $12.92 in my pocket. They were out of the summer sausage so I have to check another store for that one ( I only need 2) plus I still have coupons to pick up 4 more Atkins meals, 2 more peanut butter, 2 Muller yogurts, 4 Progesso soup and I need the Kraft BBQ sauce (hoping a coupon pops up for that one before the sale ends).

Is there a way to print the Save A Lot $5/$25 more than once per Facebook acct? It used to let me but now it says I have already printed it and there isnt the print option.

    • You must select the number of coupons to print the first time you attempt.

      • Ah lessoned learned…thanks for the info. I rarely get to use them because my store doesnt have Save a Lot as a competitor but occassionally I go to an area that will take it. Good thing I have plenty of Winn Dixie coupons.

        • I also forgot to mention to keep an eye out for Diet Pepsi $1 Publix coupons in store. The one I was at had them taped to the 2 liters. I had 2 Free Pepsi Next coupons from the Superbowl promotion (mine and my mom’s) so I got those 2 plus a Diet Cherry Pepsi and used the 2 free coupons and 1 of the $1 Publix coupon I found to make a $1 overage on 3 bottles.

  11. spent $34 and saved $121. wish i could have found the poise so my oop was less but i got a lot of stuff, so i’m HAPPY!!! Thanks Steve!!!

    • We have been out of Poise and Sunlight since day one. I have about 4 Publix in my area and they are ALL dried up. I want my first moneymaker! Waaaaaa

      • Hang in there. BTW, the Sunlight is an advertised deal in the Sweetheart Savings flyer found in-store. I would ask for a raincheck. I don’t think you can get one on the Poise deal since those items are not on sale.

        • My Publix will sign the store coupon and list how many deals I want.

        • I was told no rainchecks can be issued for ANY of the flyer items.. only weekly store flyer. I haven’t been able to get the Poise and only 2 Sunlight… shelves were not restocked.

      • You may try calling a store and see if they will special order the amount you have coupons for. My nieghbor called one and they are special ordering 20 boxes for her.

  12. Thanks for the tip on the Cascadian French Fries…bought some today, since the ingredient list is better than the Ore-Ida.

    • I wasn’t even planning on buying them. I had the Cascadian coupons and they just lured me in to make the purchase. I just hope they don’t go on sale now ;)

      • Sale or not, I did pretty good with overage from the Sundown Vitamins…bought (5) Sundown, (2) CF french fries, (1) banana and (1) bag cauliflower.. free before tax..paid 61c after tax.

  13. Hey, the Glade is Buy 2 get 1 Free…. not straight BOGO.

  14. *********STEVE!!!! did you see that BEAUTIFUL Picture over on I heart publix from this afternoon? YIPPEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!! (They must have heard us!)

    • ???

      • 3rd post down re sunday coupon inserts – BIG BEAUTIFUL PIC of our $2 any seafood dept coupon in Sundays paper?!?!?! We were just mouring these coupons like 2 weeks ago!

        • Oh my…yay! That is my least favorite of the ones they do, but hopefully it is a sign of produce and/or frozen food coupons to come!

  15. The Atkins coupon states “Limit one coupon per customer.”

    • Well I’ll be damned. It was the last coupon I printed and I was in a hurry. Ugghhhh. Thanks for pointing that out. I will check the fine print if I stop by my bro’s place to print more coupons. (I can’t look since mine have already been used.)

If I buy more before the end of the sale, I will make sure I use a $2/1 and a $1/1 for each set of two and buy no more than two per trip.

      • I didnt catch that either but I just looked at my coupons and it does say that. The $1 coupon from the insert does too.

  16. Crazedmommyof3 says:

I wish I would have noticed the deal on the Cascadian fries before I went shopping this morning. I would have preferred Cascadian than the ore-Ida. Oh well
