South-Beach-Diet-CouponHere’s a little update on the two high-value $3/1 South Beach Diet printable coupons. Note that you can get two prints from each, so that’s a total of four coupons per computer. Print now, because I don’t know how long these will last.

$3/1 South Beach Diet Snack Smoothies, Meal Bars, Snack Bars, Sweet Delights or Ready Meals printable coupon (direct link) – the newer link!

$3/1 South Beach Diet Snack Smoothies, Meal Bars, Snack Bars, Sweet Delights or Ready Meals printable coupon (preclipped) – the link from two nights ago!

First of all, the products marketed as “Snack Bars” and “Meal Bars” are priced at $3.98 at Walmart. That makes them just $0.98 per box after coupon, a great deal.

As for using the coupons above on the Publix BOGO that started today…I elected not to use the coupon today, although it is my personal opinion that it is okay to do so. It is not really clear how one would categorize the item that is BOGO $2.99 at Publix if it is not intended to be either a meal or a snack. Sure, South Beach Diet has specific items that they market as “Snack Bars”or “Meal Bars,” but unless these other bars are something like an appetizer bar (LOL), they must certainly be either a meal or a snack.

I personally would not criticize anyone who uses this coupon in this way and I am contemplating using mine on the sale as well. I decided to hold back from purchasing in my two transactions earlier today, but that doesn’t mean I will not use them later in the sale.

I did receive an email from one visitor that the coupon is a beeper on the “Good To Go” bars that are included in the sale. I don’t know if this is because Publix has decided that the coupon is not a match, or if it is because the Good To Go bars are a new product from South Beach Diet. Take that info however you’d like.

Extreme Couponing Tip: You can usually get two prints of most internet coupons. To find them in the easiest possible way, use our preclipped links that take you right to the coupon. Then come back and click the same link to get your 2nd print. This will save you the time spent searching for the coupon.

  1. The “new” Good to Go bars read “Cereal Bars” on the box so I don’t think they are a new product, rather they renamed them (same flavors as what was called just a cereal bar last week in the old packaging) and marketing them as new. HTH!

  2. Patricia S. says:

I tried to use that coupon today and was told that it wasn’t a match for the bogo bars because those are called “cereal bars” which it does say on the box. So technically the coupon isn’t a match on the cereal bars just the snack or meal bars which are located with all the other diet stuff.

  3. I was not sure if they were a match. I asked the cashier, she said yes. They did not scan, she entered them manually. I got the chocolate bogo bars.

  4. The coupon beeped for me. The cashier said it wasn’t a match, but supervisor told her to push it through. Don’t think I’ll go back for more using the new coupon link.

  5. Very confusing coupon. Looks like someone contacted customer service (comments below)…and another commentor says that used it without a problem.

South Beach Diet We apologize for the confusion on the $3 coupon. It is good on all South Beach Diet products sold in the diet aisle, which are: Snack Bars, Snack Smoothies, Sweet Delights and ReadyMeals.

South Beach Diet Hi Ashley, the cereal bars (named Protein Fit and Good to Go) are not eligible for the coupon. Hope this helps clarify!

    from their website:

    Good to Go Bars
Packed with protein and fiber, South Beach Diet® Good to Go Bars are a tasty way to make better snack choices. Look for them in the cereal aisle.

Notice the snack choices hence it is a snack. Now on their facebook they are stating you cannot use it but many people are being told via their customer service you can use it. You now have 2 different versions of its use and their website describes the cereal bars as a snack. Total fail.

I saw a link to a post from a blogger that wrote something like “when is a snack bar not a snack bar” and it talked about this crazy coupon LOL

I used them this morning without a problem :)

  6. I think we should just approach it is a “ymmv” item (Your mileage may vary) item.

  7. So if the coupon isn’t a match and the customer uses them , who has to pay for the error, publix or south beach? Just curious.

    • South Beach will pay. They have a relationship with Publix that they wouldn’t risk souring. All the companies whose items go on sale BOGO have marketing agreements with the store.

  8. Via their customer service – they clearly stated that their cereal options are not considered snack or meal bars, and hence I’m not sure if they’ll be willing to reimburse retailers or not. I think it’s dumb of them to not straight up state the exclusions on their coupon but I don’t want publix to pay the price. They’ve been pretty clear that the bogo bars are not covered under the coupon so while I’m not going to criticize whoever wishes to use it, I do think some people will nit pick on wording to justify snagging a mm the store may not get reimbursed for. Just my two cents, not intended to ruffle anyone’s feathers, especially not Steve’s ( I am very grateful for all the awesome deal sharing you do with us!) but I talked to customer service and thought I’d share.

    • They shouldn’t refer to their cereal bar items as being great for snacking if they are not snacks. Just sayin…

But seriously, no feathers ruffled here. I think everyone should make their own call on this one.

      • Back in December when I was using South Beach coupons for $1.00 and $2.00 + Publix coupons, all of South Beach coupons were beeping even though they were matched.

  9. I got 4 boxes, used 4 coupons. They allowed me to do so. She put them in manually.

  10. I am planning on bringing the entire printed coupon with me, as the picture below does show the diet cereal bars as printing with the coupon.

  11. I was able to use the $3/1 on the BOGO sale. The coupon scanned for me.

  12. Steve, I went to my local Publix (Or. Park,Fl) showed them the coupon they said, “there was no reason why I couldn’t use it”. So I used them with no problem. Thanks!

  13. Stephanie says:

I agree with Sam. It amazes me how much debate there is over this coupon. There shouldnt be any question when the boxes are clearly marked snack bar, meal bar and cereal bar and the coupon specifically states certain items despite what the description may say or if you consider cereal bars a meal or snack. I used mine at Wal-Mart and purchased the snack bars for 98 cents. A great deal in my opinion.

    • Agree………the wording clearly doesn’t match and South Beach even says it’s not a match for the specific boxes that are b1g1 at Publix right now. On top of that the coupons are beeping which most of the time means that the first 5 numbers of the UPC don’t even match the first 5 numbers on the coupon so that’s a dead deal in my opinion…..and believe me I wish this was a match since I’m all about making money. I’ll be hitting up Walmart for the ones that match the coupon. (on top of that I bought these snack bars that are b1g1 last time we got them free after coupon and nobody will eat them in my house so I’m hoping the snack bars taste better)

  14. Guys, I just want you let know that Sambson juice is already 2/$4.00. And most of them juice are gone from the self, smoothie stay there.

  15. I’ll try to use mine Saturday. Hope it will work. Thanks guys! I agree with Steve.

  16. The boxes at my Publix that are BOGO are labeled Fiber Bars. Go figure, the $2/1 coupons I had beeped until the cashier folded them to scan the secondary bar code, then they went through. I will take the $3/1 with me on my next trip and see what happens. I have to agree that SB could have made the wording more clear.

  17. I used 4 today on the Good to Go Cereal Bars. The cashier scanned them all through with no problems at all. No beeps. :)
