I made a quick trip to Kroger tonight. You will notice that I have absolutely no food in this trip. There are a couple of reasons for that. 1) I really don’t NEED any more food items in this house with the trips I have had lately. 2) They were out of stock on alot of the actual food items I had on my list which was quite a bummer. 3) They are predicting a possibility of snow tomorrow in N Alabama so the shelves are a little on the skimpy side right now. (Anyone from N Alabama knows exactly what I mean when the word snow is mentioned in the forecast the whole northern half of the state shuts down if we have a dusting). Here is what I got tonight and was pretty pleased with how it turned out. I used $6 worth of Kroger digital coupons left over from the Pop To Save game that is no longer available so they came off the top of my order.

Lol at the snow thing. I’m in north ms and its the same here. The hubbs works at a grocery store and let’s just say he’s a little tired tonight. Silly folks
It kills me! I couldn’t believe that the shelves were that picked over. Sorry your hubby is tired.
The snow thing…I totally understand. I live in Middle TN near Nashville; and people here get crazy. I am from Upstate Northern NY (that’s way way up on the Canadian border) so It doesn’t bother me. But I will use it as an excuse to leave work early PAID…lol Extra couponing time!
I know this is one time that I am hoping that schools close on Friday because the roads will be clear and I can call into work and go SHOPPING!
LOL
lol i used to live in Ridgeland, MS for a year and a half. the first winter it snowed everybody was home when I looked outside the window. I was like what in the world it’s not even an inch.. heheh just so cute and oh how I love the ppl down south. Of all the places that I’ve lived southern hospitality is still the best.
Thanks Mariter. We do get excited over a little snow but honestly there are times when it is called for since our city/state is not prepared with the equipment to keep the roads from icing over. As long as the city is not shut down for a week like it was a couple years ago I will be alright!
yep. i used to live in ohio, so i was really surprised when i moved to south of metro atlanta 6 yrs ago, our office closes when there is like an inch of snow.
monica is right about the equipment, i was told that in the past atlanta has to rent an equipment from state of tennessee to clear out the snow.
It is so true, they let the schools out early today.
I just wanted to say thanks about the hospitality comment from a MS gal
Was this one transaction? My Kroger only allows 2 internet coupons!
Yes, the stores around here don’t enforce that one too much (that I have encountered) but they do enforce no more than 5 like coupons per transaction.
I wanted to ask,I went to kroger and cought ten of the angle soft tissues ,which I had $.45 cent of mfc for all.My coupons were no doubled? Is there a reason you can think of?
Not unless your store doesn’t double. But just an FYI the $.45 coupon is for the double rolls and the ones that are on sale 10/$10 are only single rolls.
Oh…..well they took them, but thay explains why they had to do coupon over rides for each one.I will ask about the coupon doubling next time,I was in a hurry at the time. THANK YOU soooo much for the info!
Please excuse the misspelling Im on my phone at the store:(
My phone does that too and drives me nuts.
