I did pretty well at Publix today considering I didn’t go to a Publix where I could use $x/$xx coupons without spending $50. I didn’t have $50 planned and because I didn’t really see anything in the Christmas clearance that I wanted I decided to just go ahead without using one. A few notes ahead of time… I would have loved to try the Campbell’s Bisque soups for free but since the 12/2 newspaper was delivered the week that I was in Florida apparently someone needed those papers because they got them out of my front yard before my Mom could get by my house to pick them up for me. Oh well, maybe someday. On another note, my son will be pretty excited about this trip since he got Jello and Cheez-Its (Hot & Spicy) to be exact. Now, if I could just get him to eat those Libby vegetables then I would be doing good.

Those bisque qs were in the 11/4 ss. Hope that helps.
Thanks Wren, they were apparently regional and I didn’t get those either….Bummer!
The smart balance butter tubs are 2 for 3 dollars, you can use the 3 off 3 and the dollar off the tubs coupon from the Publix All the Trimmings booklet and make .50 off each. =)
Yep, I used those to get the awesome Moneymaker on the BOGO Smart Balance Butters.
I mean a slightly different product. The butter blend is in a small almost rectangular in shape container which are 2 for 3 dollars. The tubs are bogo at varying prices, in Fort Myers, FL they’re advertised at BOGO 3.65. So I would make slightly more money buying the rectangular butter containers at 2 for 3.
Gotcha! Wow $1 more price difference from here. I would definitely go for the cheaper as well in that case.
Yea, the nicer parts of town have higher prices here, it’s very tricky!
We have that some here too but it is usually only $.20-$.50 difference. The store I shopped at yesterday tends to run a bit higher than the others but it is really convenient to me from work.
Fyi: The rectangular containers are “real” butter whereas the tubs are margarine; that’s why it tends to run at a higher price when you compare ounces.
How is it a $1.72mm if they r bogo @ 2.85??? It doesn’t add up!
She is in Alabama where they have 50% BOGOs. Each item rings up half price so it is $4.28 for three. Subtract $6 of coupons and you have a $1.72 MM.
FYI – Monica’s trips are 50% BOGOs and doubled coupons. Steve and Naomi trips are TRUE BOGOs with no doubles.
The three items are $4.27 ($1.42 each) less $6 in coupons is $1.72 overage.
