I had a fantastic day today at Publix. I bought very little food because I’ve been buying stuff faster than we can eat it, but I did make an exception for the Special K since I like the Chocolatey variety and am ready for a break from Grape Nuts. Even though I didn’t have the BOGO Target coupon for the Glade Refills, I still had to load up because we love this product. I had to make some adjustments to do two transactions because my store did not carry the Surf Laundry Detergent, nor did they have any Greased Lightning in stock. So I added some Publix wet dog food since I’m running a little low anyways.
Also, my store did allow me to substitute in two Glade Fragrance Mist refills, since they only had a few starter kits on the shelf. This allowed me to use all six manufacturer coupons I had.
I did a total of two transactions and paid a total of $103.86 plus tax for $151.27 of groceries and two $50 gas cards. Because I left the store with $100 cash equivalent in gas cards, I backed that amount out of the total I paid. This yielded a cost of $3.86 for the groceries and a savings rate of 97.4%. If you only back out the $80 I paid for the gas cards, then I paid $23.86 for $151.27 of groceries, which comes out to a savings rate of 84.2%.

Hi Steve great trip & just wanted to let you know that I have already got back the rebate on the cat litter & I had used a $5 coupon to purchase it & still got back the full purchase price
One Publix location I went to today said I had to spend $100 in groceries in order to use my 1 $10/50 sweetbay coupon & my 1 $10/50 Publix gas card. What do you think about this? The Publix coupon is not a $ off your entire order coupon, like the sweetbay coupon. I have been to many other locations this morning & only purchased $50 in groceries, used my 1 sweetbay coupon & purchased a $50 Publix gas card & used 1 $10/50 Publix gas card coupon. Thanks.
I agree with your position, but it’s just one of those things that’s going to vary based on the store…one of those pesky gray areas.
In case you are going back for more ALL, there is a $3/2 on the All free n clear after you take a quiz. They let me sub the refills on the Glade too!

I am so excited about the gas card deal. Can’t wait to go shopping. My Publix let’s me combine all the gas card coupons and the Winn Dixie coupons in one transaction instead of making multiple transactions. Tomorrow when I go shopping and spend $150 in groceries, I will be able to use 5 Winn Dixie coupons and 3 gas card coupons. I love that I don’t have to separate my purchases. Makes shopping so much easier. Thanks for all you do.
