Hey everybody! I thought I’d give you a quick update to let you know why I haven’t been posting much the last few days. The really good news is that there hasn’t been a personal tragedy, family emergency or anything like that. I’m really just swamped with non-coupon work that is time sensitive.
Two of my friends are running for local political office here in Pinellas County, Florida and they are both on the primary ballot on August 14th. Prior to starting Couponaholic.net last year I managed political campaigns locally. While I do not do that for a living these days, I do some volunteer work for my old friends that are running for office. Both of these campaigns are in “crunch time” and I am helping one of them finalize their direct mail operations.
FYI – Both of my friends are running for the Pinellas County School Board and their races are non-partisan, so all voters – regardless of party – can vote in their races. If you would like to read about them, you can do so here: Jim Jackson and Rene Flowers. If you live in Pinellas County, I hope you will join me in voting for them. (By the way, I’ll post about these elections because they’re non-partisan, but don’t expect me to say anything about Republican vs. Democrat stuff…not a chance I’m going there!)
Complicating matters is the fact that I am going to my college fraternity’s reunion in Chicago from Thursday through Sunday of this week.
So from now through August 14th, I’ll be around less frequently. Nevertheless, I’ll still try to get the hot coupons posted. Naomi and Monica will be posting deals, and Carlos will make sure that you all get your email newsletters each day. Overall, there may be a few less posts per day, but we will try to keep up with things.
And on Wednesday, August 15th, all should be back to normal around here. In the meantime, sorry for any inconvenience.

I’m glad you posted this so we could know what’s going on. I was thinking where’s Steve.I thought you had jumped ship. At least there are plenty of sites to look for coupon deals. Sometimes life happens.Have fun at your reunion.

We have missed you but understand completely. The girls have been a great addition, but I have missed your Publix trips. Have a great reunion, I have my 30th this year. Yikes!
I still post my Publix trips. I usually post one on the first day of a new sale. Lately they’ve gotten really small though because most of the stuff on sale has been stuff I can’t eat right now. I’ve been living out of the freezer for some time.

I contacted you about a Sweetbay promotion – they aired a commercial during the Olympics and if you go in and say “Eric the butcher sent me” they will give you a $3 off a $3 meat purchase. I tried it and it worked – the coupon is good through August 12th.
