Which Walgreen’s did you shop at? The ones near my house didn’t have the flossers and didn’t even have a spot for them. I need some flossers!!
I went to the one at 31st and 54th Ave S in St. Pete. There was only one of the blue package left and it was hidden behind something else. There were maybe 4-5 of the ones with Scope left when I shopped last night.
Do you know if you could you buy 1 Oral-B floss picks and 1 Crest toothpaste and get them 2/$6 and get the $4RR?
I am not 100% sure if they will ring up 2/$6 or $3.49 each (not sure if it is mix and match, but it probably is), however I am very certain that the RR will print.
I tried to purchase the Glade expressions today, the store wouldn’t take my coupon since it was more than the $2.99 sale price. I suggested that they lower the amuont of the coupon to the sale price, and the manager told me he couldn’t do that. I sent an email to corporate.
That sucks. Another suggestion if your store won’t follow the policy…ask them to adjust the price up to $3. Maybe they will be willing to do that.
BTW, I would take the coupon policy to the store and show the manager that not only can he adjust the coupon to $2.99, but it is also the company’s official policy that this is precisely what he’s supposed to do.
Recently when Ivory soap was 99 cents and the coupons were $1 off I had a terrible time using them. All agreed it was the policy to lower the coupon price but could not do that with the new register/software. One manager raised the price to $1 – that worked okay.
I finally had a manager figure out how to use the new registers/software in my area and lower the coupon price. At the last store I went to I had to show the manager how to do it so I could use the coupon. He wasn’t very happy….
Another reason why I rarely shop at Walgreens.
Thanks, didn’t even consider the policy. I have printed it out and will try again tonight.
Good luck. Let us know how it goes
So, this is unrelated to this post, but it is about Walgreens, so hopefully that’s okay.
I was just wondering if anyone has chosen to have a Walgreens rebate loaded onto an existing rebate card. If you have, does the rebate process go faster, or are there any benefits to having the rebate loaded to an existing card?
Long story short, I used my rebate card for a purchase today, and the cashier kept the card because I had used up the whole balance (so the card was “empty”). I just went on-line to submit this month’s Walgreens rebates, though, and realized that there was an option to load the rebate to an existing card, which made me bummed that I let the cashier take my card. So, basically, is it worthwhile for me to try to get my card back, or is the process exactly the same if I were to just have them send me a new card?
Back when they had the monthly rebates ALL the time. I would reload onto the existing card. Processing time was about the same, but, you didn’t have to wait for the card in the mail, and still got the additional 10%.
Update to my Walgreens trip. Went back to the same store armed with the Coupon Policy, thinking I’d have no problem. Boy was I wrong!!! The manager on duty said he couldn’t take the bic pens coupons because the coupon stated “cannot be combined with any other offer and not subject to doubling.” He said the sale was an “offer” and he couldn’t accept the coupon. Since when does a couponer use a coupon when an item it not on sale? NEVER!!!!
The Glade coupon he wouldn’t accept, because it stated, “cannot be combined with any other coupon”. I wasn’t using another coupon, but, he said, that the $1 RR I would get back is a coupon. I told him I wasn’t going to use it. Needless to say, I worked out with my coupons and raincheck.
I passed another Walgreens on my way home, didn’t want to push my luck and only did 1 transaction. I bought the 6 Bic Cristal with raincheck and 1 Glade expressions, used 3 bic coupons and 1 glade coupon. Paid .42 and got the $1 RR from Glade. Now I remember why I stopped shopping at Walgreens.
That is just crazy. Incredible.
