The last couple of days I have been trying to prepare as much as I can for the possibility of having to deal with a hurricane coming through, or at least the outer bands affecting, the Tampa Bay area. I already have a decent supply of canned meats, peanut butter, and snack foods but I definitely wanted to grab some water and juice packs. I will admit I took advantage of the ice cream because if the hurricane comes through I know I will want to sit there and stress eat an entire pint of ice cream, and I bet my roommate will too. With the Advil deal that I did, before picking up the product I spoke with Customer Service about the wording (a comma instead of the word or between Advil and Advil PM) and she said that I could use it on the 24 ct Advil.

They let you use the Publix coupon for the Advil even though they are 24 count and the coupon says 32+??

    • Yes, as I mentioned in the post I spoke with customer service about the wording of the coupon. “Advil or Advil PM 32+ct, Childrens Advil…” would have been more clear than “Advil, Advil PM 32ct, Childrens Advil…”. I asked if I could use it on the sale product and the customer service manager said yes.

  2. You are correct. There is a comma separating the two kinds. The coupon can be used on any 2 mix or match regular Advil (no size restriction). I called customer service at the corporate level as well, and they said the same thing. The 32 size restriction is only on the Advil PM.

  3. Is the coupon on advil.com a pdf? It lets you print out more than 2. Can you print more than that?

  4. The coupon has a security code but does not show any restrictions before you print or after so I was wondering. I don’t remember seeing this type of coupon before. Have you?

Love $2 produce coupons. Used 1 of mine at Sweetbay to get a cucumber, 2 tomatoes, and a green pepper for $.88 after coupon. Add this to the MM Organic Girl salad at Publix-just can’t beat the lunch cost.

  6. I bought 4 advil in two transactions (2 different stores) on Thursday and they let me use the publix coupon no problem at both stores! I did ask the customer service desk each time and they were both super friendly and assured me that it was a match. I went to a third store today (since someone had wiped out the other two) to grab a few extra items and the customer service associate there told me that it’s only for the 32 ct. I tried to point out the comma but he wouldn’t go for it :( Oh well, happy I was able to buy a few for my other deals!!

Has anyone tried the mayo with olive oil? I’m hesitant to get it because I’ve never tried this variety before. Does it taste much different than regular?

  8. I didn’t see anyone talking about this, so I decided to post. There is a Publix 5/30 coupon here on page 14/15

    http://www.militarymoneysaver-jax.com/

I found this through the blog: http://www.purecouponmagic.com/2012/08/530-publix-coupon-no-state-or-county.html

  9. My Publix in Orlando had CapriSun on sale 2/$5.
With MQ and PQ stack I was able to pay 0.75 a pak.

I also noticed Publix had Kraft “SizzlingSalads just Add Chicken&Salad” on sale 2/$3. There’s a peelie on each kit for $1 off. I was able to snag two for 0.50 cents a kit. I never tried this product, but it sure looks good. The package contains 2 bottles. One is a “Cooking Sauce” for the chicken, the other is a “Dressing” for the salad. The kit come in different themes. I bought the Tuscan Chicken Dinner and Asian Sesame Kits. Hopefully it taste as good as it looks!!

  10. publix ran out of advil :( would they issue a rain check?

    • They will issue a raincheck for the sale price, but its up to your store as to if they will accept the expired coupon with the raincheck. Maybe someone will speak up to their experiences.

  11. My local Publix would not accept the $5/2 on Advil 24ct size. Definitely unfairness going on as they called corporate who stated it was only for all types 32 ct & larger. That is how I interpreted coupon too. After all, why would they offer such a huge coupon on a small size that meant practically giving it away free w/o stacking coupons? I hope too many didn’t abuse this offer.

    • I think Naomi and her store were correct because of the placement of the comma. They can put any words they want on the coupon and should honor them as written IMO.
