Fred strikes again…why you should (always) hang in there and correct errors at the register!

Those of you that have been following the site over the past few months know about my friend Fred. He started couponing a few months ago and we’ve been seeing his couponing “growing pains” as he experiences them on his web site, Print Great Coupons. He was thrown a few curveballs over the past week and I thought I’d share the links with you:

Fred’s Meijer Trip – Dealing with an “on your next order” (Catalina) coupon that doesn’t print (plus his 80% savings on Softsoap)

Fred’s Walgreens Trip – Why it’s important to correct an issue when a store isn’t following the corporate coupon policy (plus some nice freebies he picked up.)

Extreme Couponing Tip: You can usually get two prints of most internet coupons. To find them in the easiest possible way, use our preclipped links that take you right to the coupon. Then come back and click the same link to get your 2nd print. This will save you the time spent searching for the coupon.

  1. Is Fred really you?

    • No, but we help him out with drugstore deal posts. I live about 1000 miles away from Meijer (where he shops)

I give Fred credit! He’s not a quitter! I experienced a lot of the same issues when I started couponing. It takes a while to know when you’re in the right and when you’re not. Kudos to Fred!! Keep up the hard work, diligence and persistence pay off in the long run =)

  3. Just when Fred starts getting good at the couponing at Wags, they are going to throw him a loop introducing the new rewards card. Cashiers at our Wags are now being trained for this new card in Central Florida and they hate it. They said that all couponers are going to be very disappointed when this comes out. I have been reading up on it and don’t understand it very well. Have you heard about this, Steve?

  4. Yeah good job Fred for sticking with it! Ive been doing it a year and I still get so frustrated at times!!! For example: did ya’ll know that on the coupons you print off the Target site they now say “1 COUPON PER CUSTOMER PER VISIT” and some stores are enforcing it! I didnt notice it until I tried to purchase 8 gummy snacks (since 8 of the same coupon was the limit I THOUGHT). Then when the cashier told me “no man is 1 Target coupon per visit per person, no doublicates”… then she got irrited when I told her that I only wanted 1 box of gummys and she had to put the rest back. Sorry :) BUT STICK WITH IT FRED, THE MONEY YOU SAVE IS WORTH IT!
