Comments

  1. WOW!! I think that says it all! =)

  2. My store charged 11.99 for the venus razors even with BOGO coupon and 3.00 off I still think I overpaid because BOGO coupon had 7,99 limit. I did three transactions and didn’t understand why my total was so high till I got out of the store. Oh, well, live and learn…. Still had a great day at CVS too, although not as good as you, Monica.

  3. Did the reg beep when you used the $3 off MQ and the Bogo coupon?

    • The $3/1 coupon beeped. Cashier manually entered it.

      • It beeped because the BOGO coupon attached to both items. P&G coupons state “limit one coupon per purchase of products and quantities stated.” This means that the coupons requires the purchase of two items and only the one coupon can be used on those two items. Whether CVS policy allows it or not, we must follow the wording on coupons, just like not using more than 4 like coupons per shopping trip.

      • ugh.. hope i have a nice cashier.

        • My CVS did not allow both, they said policy does not let them use both and if he manually puts it in he could lose his job. (YES 3 cashiers got canned for allowing coupons that were against policy) Also, Dawn Hand Renewal GONE off every shelf at EVERY CVS within a 10 mile radius. I went early this morning!!!! So selfish.

  4. I did the same razor deal, but my cashier adjusted down the BOGO coupon to 7.99 and then he let me also us the $3.00. Too bad I didn’t get your cashier. Then I had $5.00 in ECB’s. Got back the 10 ECB’s but I like your deal much better!!

  5. Mischelle Harpster says:

How did you 12 dawn in one transaction? there is a limit of 4 coupon stated right on dawn coupon per day.

  6. Mine didn’t take the max value off of Gillette. I kinda want to return because it cost me $6 OOP and that is more than I am willing to pay.

    • Yeah mine either my cashier took off the $8.29 so it did cost me $6 too but I did get $10 ECB out of it so it’s like a $4 moneymaker if you count those in.

  7. Mom23Lads says:

Wow! Nice savings. Would you consider it “standard” for each store to allow the maximum on the BOGO razor coupon?

    • Mom23Lads says:

      I mean standard/normal for CVS?

    • No, I think nothing is really standard on this deal. There are lots of different ways this deal may actually turn out, depending on store. Thankfully, all are moneymakers of different sizes :)

  8. steve, did you use any extra care bucks from last week on your first transaction? that is a great deal!

  9. Thanks Steve, another great deal as always. Love the photo you posted, the cat is cool

  10. My CVS will not let me use a BOGO and a $ off on the same items. Since the BOGO said “One coupon per items required for purchase.” They consider that as the one coupon per purchase, and that using the $ coupon would be doing 2 coupons per the items required for the transaction.

    • That’s going to be the case with some stores. Totally a situation where the mileage will vary depending on store and/or cashier.

  11. Going to try this deal this week and hope I have the same results with the razors :)

    • Good luck! I think there’s going to be wide variance on this deal. At least it’s a MM with only the BOGO coupon at the actual price of the razors.

  12. wow!you did great!! :) cheers!

  13. Hi Steve,
I was going to send you my results from my trip to CVS today, but it is so similar to yours!! (How much did they charge you for the pretty kitty!).

Thanks for the great ideas and matchups. I’m going back today to get the mayonnaise!

  14. AshleyAshley says:

You did great! Love the kitty too!

  15. My CVS wouldn’t let me use to bogo coupo and $3 off in same transaction :( argh!

  16. Hilda James says:

My cashier used the bogo Q first and then attempted to use the $3 Q and it beeped and she said she could not use it. The cashier next to her said, just void that and use the $3 q first and then the bogo q. She did. It worked. Yay!!!

  17. zespinoza says:

Hi Steve did my transaction today but I beeped with the bongo coupon.I called customer service and they said I could use both coupons. Manager had to overide. First transaction manager gave me a hard time but did it anyway. Second transaction a different manager took over no questions asked and even entered the full 12.99 !!!!

  18. Can you please tell store in tampa did you able to get the gillete coupon take $12.99 off ?

  19. Wow, you got lucky. Both razors here in Daytona were $10.99, so even with the BOGO and $3/1 coupons it was still $9.42 after tax. I was only going to try this for the moneymaker, but its not worth the OOP for the $0.58 back.

  20. I hate seeing comments about “your mileage may vary” in regards to using a BOGO coupon and a $ off amount coupon. The BOGO coupon attaches to both products. It really is no different than ‘save 1 on two” coupons…you have to buy 2 to use that single coupon and it attaches to both products. Regardless of whether your store allows or not does not make it ethical.

    • I have actually spoken to corporate about this specific instance. They approve of you using a BOGO coupon and a $$ off coupon because the policy states that you can use a coupon on each item you “buy” as long the coupon does not prohibit it. However, they said, as well as the policy says, coupon acceptance will be at the manager’s discretion.

  21. dunno where to post this:) but just sharing a VERY good news for CVS shoppers :) sign up for a double quarterly ECB (4%) from sept 16 to dec 15, 2012 :) here is the link:

    https://www.cvs.com/promo/promoLandingTemplate.jsp?promoLandingId=doublebucks-enrollment

it says ‘limited time only’ so please HURRY! :)

  22. I may return the schick razors it seems a little to pricey out of pocket: $12.60 for 4 . I kind of use to paying a fraction of this price. Does anyone know what is CVS policy on store returns with use of coupons and ECB?

    Thank you.
    I

  23. oops I mean the Gillette razors
