The 7/8 CVS ad could be really good for you or really poor, depending on what coupons you have. Some deals are just ok, but they become stock-up deals if you have the CVS store coupons to match the deals. Here are the coupon matchups for the best stock-up deals that I see in the 7/8 CVS weekly ad.

POSSIBLE MONEYMAKER VITAMINS – Nature Made Vitamins will be on sale BOGO. The Vitamin D products start around $4.49 at most stores. There’s a $2/1 printable coupon available here, plus you may have received a $3/1 ANY Vitamins CVS store coupon last week from the Red Coupon Machine. If you did, buy two Vitamin D and use two $2/1 coupons and the $3/1 CVS store coupon. Your worst case is free if you have all the coupons, however you may get up to $2.51 overage, so I recommend having other items in your order as well.

FREE HERSHEY’S SIMPLE PLEASURES – Hershey’s Simple Pleasures 0.75 oz will be on sale for $0.67 with a $0.67 Extra Care Bucks reward printing at checkout. Net price is FREE after Extra Bucks.

CHEAP WISK LAUNDRY DETERGENT – Wisk Laundry Detergent 32 loads will be on sale for $4.99. There were $2/1 coupons in the 6/10 RP newspaper insert. (Some areas got $1/1 coupons.) There’s also a $5 SavingStar Deposit you can earn when you buy $15 of Wisk Products before 8/8. First things first…Go to SavingStar, register your CVS card (if you haven’t done so already) and load the Wisk eCoupon. Buy four Wisk and use four $2/1 coupons (or $1/1 if that’s what you received.) Pay as low as $11.96, but get $5 back in your SavingStar account. Net price is $6.96 (or $1.74 per bottle!) Great deal on Wisk!

CHEAP KELLOGG’S POP TARTS & COCA-COLA 2L BOTTLES – There will be a $5 Extra Care Bucks reward printing when you buy $15 of select grocery products. I think the best scenario is on a combination of Coca-Cola and Pop-Tarts. Buy six Pop Tarts 8 ct for $12 total plus three Coca-Cola 2L Bottles for $3 total. Your total before coupons is $15. Then use two $1/3 Pop Tarts coupons from the 6/24 SS newspaper insert and the $2 off Candy or Beverages printable CVS coupon (no longer available.) You will pay $11 but get back $5 in Extra Care Bucks. Net price is $6 (or 67 cents per item!)

CHEAP GARNIER FRUCTIS SHAMPOO/CONDITIONER/STYLERS – There will be a $5 Extra Care Bucks reward when you buy $15 of select Garnier products, including select Garnier Fructis Shampoo, Conditioner or Stylers. There were $1/1 coupons in the 6/24 RP newspaper insert, plus there are $1/1 printable coupons available here. There’s also a $3/$15 Beauty Purchase printable CVS store coupon (no longer available.) Buy five Garnier products and use five $1/1 coupons plus the $3/$15 Beauty coupon. Pay $6.95 and get back $5 in Extra Care Bucks. Net price is $1.95 (or 39 cents per item.)

CHEAP GILETTE VENUS & OLAY RAZOR – There will be a $4 Extra Care Bucks reward printing when you buy one Gillete Venus Razor. If the Venus & Olay Razor is included, buy one and use a $4/1 coupon from the 6/17 SS newspaper insert. Pay $5.99 and get back $4 in Extra Care Bucks. Net price is $1.99.

CHEAP BIC SOLEIL RAZORS – These will be on sale for $6.79 with a $2 Extra Care Bucks reward printing at checkout. We are expecting a $2/1 or $3/1 coupon in the 7/8 SS newspaper insert (values will vary by region.) Buy one and use a newspaper coupon to pay as low as $3.79. Get $2 back in Extra Care Bucks for a net price as low as $1.79 each.

CHEAP HEAD & SHOULDERS SHAMPOO OR CONDITIONER – Head and Shoulders Shampoo 14.2 oz and Conditioner 13.5 oz will be on sale BOGO 50% OFF. These products start at around $5.99 and there’s a BOGO coupon in the 7/1 P&G newspaper insert. Buy two and use a BOGO coupon. If your cashier deducts the price of the full price item, then you will pay about $3 total (or $1.50 each.)

CHEAP PURE PROTEIN BARS – These will be on sale BOGO 50% OFF. Pricing starts around $1.89, so it will be about $2.83 for two. Buy two and use two $1/1 coupons available here. Pay $0.83 (or 41 cents each.)

CHEAP BUMBLE BEE TUNA – The Bumble Bee Chunk White Albacore 5 oz cans will be on sale BOGO. I’m not sure what the price is on these, but there’s a $1/2 printable coupon on Recyclebank.

CHEAP SKITTLES/STARBURST – Skittles and Starburst 1.8-2.17 oz will be on sale for just 50 cents each. We are expecting a $0.50/2 coupon in the 7/8 SS newspaper insert. Net price is just 25 cents each after coupon, plus you can get an even better deal if you have the $2 off Candy or Beverages CVS store coupon.

CHEAP PUREX CRYSTALS – These will be on sale BOGO and the price is $7.69 at my store. Use two $1/1 coupons available here. Pay $5.69 for two after coupons (or $2.84 each.) There’s also a $1/1 coupon available here, but some CVS stores will not accept a regular manufacturer coupon if it has another store’s logo, so your mileage may vary.

CHEAP PUREX LIQUID DETERGENT OR ULTRA-PACKS – Purex Liquid Detergent 25-33 loads or Purex Ultra Packs 18 ct will be on sale for $1.99. You can get a $1/1 coupon for the Purex Ultra Packs if you follow these instructions. Go to this web site and watch the video. After the video shows, there will be a signup link below it. Click on that link and fill out the form. Choose the Ultra Packs free sample. After submitting, you have the option of not receiving the sample and taking a $1/1 coupon instead. Do that ;) Net price is 99 cents after coupon.

CHEAP NESTLE CRUNCH LIMITED EDITION SINGLES – My mouth always waters when I see the Girl Scout Cookie variety by the cash register. These will be on sale 2/$1.75 and we are expecting a $0.75/2 coupon in the 7/8 SS newspaper insert. Buy two and use one coupon to pay only $1 (or 50 cents each.)

Then come back and click the same link to get your 2nd print. This will save you the time spent searching for the coupon.

  1. jacklynn says:

I have a $5 off any purchase of vitamins $10 or more from the red coupon machine.. should I buy 2 of the more expensive vitamins (around $5) and use the store coupon plus 2 of the 2/1 and pay around $1 or so and get $5 back? Also I have an extra $0.50 extra buck, will they let me use the $5 off and the extra buck to lower my out of pocket ?

    • jacklynn says:

Sorry I meant 2 sets of the bogo. but if I do that I can use 4 manufacture and the one store coupon right?

  2. jacklynn says:

Please disregard that its been a long day.. I didnt mean to say get $5 back for some reason I thought it said you will get $5 rr. lol . long day

    • No prob. If you have four manufacturer coupons and the $5 off $10 coupon, I would buy four vitamins and get over $10 by as little as possible, plus I would buy something else that costs about $3 as well. Then use the four manufacturer coupons and the $5 CVS coupon. Your worst case scenario is that all the vitamins will be free and you will pay for the $3 item; however, the full $5 for the CVS coupon MIGHT come off and the overage will be used to offset your other item(s).

      • jacklynn says:

Thanks Steve you are awesome. Even If I do have to pay for the other item I will atleast be thankful for the free vitamins. I have some friends who need them so it will be nice to help them out. :) Hopefully I will get a lil overage for myself too!!

  3. I’m bummed I only have 2 of the $1/1 on the wisk.

So here’s my scenario in case someone has the coupons I have.

    2 Wisk $4.99 = $4.99
    2 Soft Scrub = $5
    Total: $14.98

    Coupons used:
    -$5/$15 Cvs CRT
    -$1/1 Wisk (2)
    -$1/1 Soft Scrub (2)

Total after coupon: $5.96 (I’ll be lowering my oop costs with Ecbs). That’s $1.49 per item, and I’m $5 away from getting $5 back from savingstar. It’s not great, but it’s not a bad deal either. I wish I had that $2/1 Wisk coupon. Regionals suck.

    • Hopefully savingstar won’t explode by the Wisk being $4.99 instead of $5 even. What do you think, Steve?

      • I don’t think three will be enough. That’s why I wrote it up as a deal where you need to buy four.

One option is to buy three on Sunday and check your Savingstar account near the end of the week. It is possible the $5 credit may show up, but I think you will need to buy a fourth.

    • Yup! I curse regional coupons every time I see a Mt. Olive BOGO at Publix. We almost never get the coupons down here.

      • Well, I have til 8/8 to complete the sale. so hopefully there’s something awesome that pops up and I can grab it to complete the deal. Here’s to hoping! :)

  4. Kroger has Wisk on sale starting today for 3.99…

    buy 4 @ 3.99 =15.96
    use 4 2.00/1 =7.96
    savingstar -5.00 = 2.96 (or 74¢ each!!!)

  5. I just got back from CVS, I bought the Head and Shoulders which is on sale for buy one get one 50% off, price is 5.99 so I paired it with the b1g1 free coupon and 1.00 off for 2 coupon that I had saved from last week or week before, cant remember when, anyways, the cashier took off the total amount on that coupon which states buy one get one free up to 9.49 !!! so I really scored on that , she also stated that is what they are told to do….! So you might want to try it. rang up 5.99 and 2.99 then took off 9.49 , and the 1.00 coupon, of course i had a few other items but i ended up only paying 1.31 oop.

  6. Hi Steve – Your weekly email re the drug store sales and deals is the best couponing email I get all week! I love your matchups and ideas, but I especially like your comments about whether or not the items on sale that week are a good stock up price. Thanks so much for all you do and have a great week!

  7. I got a new red machine today for $2/1 Nature Made Vitamins. Combined with all the other coupons, that’s a lot of overage! My CVS is good about coupons in general. Looks like I have a trip to plan tomorrow at work. Maybe Monday won’t be so bad for once. :)
