Here is a relatively simple Walgreens shopping scenario for the week of 7/8/12. Note that I am not a big fan of any of these deals, with the exception of the Johnson’s/Desitin deal and it is likely that I will sit out this week at Walgreens. That said, I know that some of you will want to shop and others of you may be short on some items and need to shop. With that in mind, I have put together this shopping scenario for you.
If you did last week’s transactions, then you have a $1 Register Reward leftover. We will be using that Register Reward on Transaction #1.

You will pay $8.80 out-of-pocket plus spend $1 of Register Rewards. That’s a little steeper than I would like to spend for most of these products, but don’t kill the messenger

Awhile back there were $1/1 eos peelies on soliel razors. They have an exp 12/31/13. Would these be good to use to lower opp?
Yes, if you use two $1/1 coupons then they are free after RRs. You will need to add one Wexford Folder as a filler and use the in-ad coupon for it so you can use your RR to pay for the transaction.

Did Walgreen change their coupon policy cause I went today got 3 skinny cow candy bar used one .50 off 3 Walgreen catalina and used one bogo skinny cow coupon so the cashier couldn’t get it to scan the mf coupon and call the store manger he said i couldn’t use both because the catalina cover all three candy bar ,so I said okay just used the .50 one and give him a one dollar RW didn’t get it to scan either call store MG again and he say I couldn’t used the one dollar RW because the .50 cataline cover all three candy bar need to get another item.I think this going to be my last trip to Walgreen.
You might want to check your catalina to make sure it is not a manufacturer coupon as well. If so, that was your problem.

Ouch! I would look at the best deals that generate RRs: Johnson’s/Desitin, Kotex, Cereals, Nivea, etc and see how many RRs you can get back. Ideally, you or someone close to you can use some of these products, even if they are a little above stock-up price.

I tried the 5 bars of Dove soap for $5 and the register would not recognize my $1.50 off of 2 Dove products coupon. Did you have problems with this?
I didn’t do the deal. Skipping Walgreens this week. Maybe someone else will share their experiences.
I have had problems like this in the past if they didn’t ring the items up individually and just changed the quantity. I don’t know if that was the case for you.
The Kotex by U is no longer printing. Unfortunately I did not receive them in my paper either. >_< These are my favorite too. Super happy that I stocked up last time this deal was out. Is this a month long deal again or just for this week?
