do you prepare the turkey bacon any special way to make it taste better? my whole family loves “real” bacon. I tried cooking the turkey bacon on the microwavable bacon pan and it didnt taste very good . . . .

    • I haven’t cooked any yet. But, from what I am told you can cook it directly on the stove top just like regular bacon.

    • I fry it on my griddle or in a pan. We really like it, but it doesn’t taste like real bacon. I think of it as a different type of breakfast meat.

Ahhh, I was hoping for a miracle trick to turn it into bacon :)

I agree with you 100%. I do micro 5 pcs wrapped in paper towels for 25 secs for a quick bacon fix.

    • If you put a “cooling” rack on top of a sheet pan, and lay the turkey bacon on the rack and BAKE it in the oven it gets crispy like regular bacon. I usually do it about 10-13 minutes…you will know when it starts turning darker its done.

  2. The bacon is regularly priced at $1.29.

For those who dont know you can always take the walgreens ad to walmart and price match and get the same deal… I only say this because my store was com maxed out the same day the ad started. use can also use your coupons too :)

    • I went to get my Ivory soap and the cashier will not let me use my coupon, saying it doesn’t match

      • And why didn’t it match? It looks fine to me.

      • Really? If bar soap is not personal cleansing then I’m not sure what is. Did the register beep because the coupon was more than the price of the item. If you have another Walgreens close I would definately try a different one. When you go to the counter make sure you tell them the item is $.99 and the coupon is for a $1.00 so one of them will have to be adjusted. That usually works for me.

  4. If you took a tour at a facility that makes turkey bacon (I did..my brother works there), and see what parts are put into it… you wouldn’t eat it! Totally changed my appetite!

  5. Walgreen’s would not let me use $1/1 Ivory coupon either… manager said it’s only for body wash!

    • That’s crazy. The picture on the coupon shows body wash but the wording only excludes ivory dish and laundry.
