My savings rate is a little lower this week, but I didn’t have any moneymaker deals to do, plus there were a few items that were at or near stock-up prices for me, even though they weren’t ridiculously cheap. I had no choice but to buy the almondmilk, as mine was nearly gone. And I couldn’t resist the Splenda deal because I use it every day.  We are pretty well stocked on all of the other items that we use from this week’s sale.

I came back in the store for a second transaction so I could use two $2/$2+ Publix Deli Department Purchase coupons. Here is the list of items bought and coupons used:

SIX SPLENDA ESSENTIALS 80 CT, on sale BOGO $3.89
Used one $1/1 Splenda 80 or 100 ct Target printable coupon

I love your site and your shopping trips. You site is the first I sign into everyday. Is there any reason why you didn’t use more TQs? That would have made them a MM.

    • Not to speak for Steve, but I believe that all Target Coupons dictate that we use only one per transaction.

      • That’s correct, although since it’s a worthless competitor store coupon that doesn’t get reimbursed, if a Publix store wants to allow multiples I believe it is ok for a customer to do so.

Personally, I’d rather not push the issue because I want my coupon-friendly stores and cashiers to stay friendly to me :)

  2. Is regular Splenda on sale too or just the Essentials?

  3. Also, did you have any trouble with the Splenda Smart Source coupon above? I tried to use it at Walgreens this weekend and the register wouldn’t take it. The Assistant Manager told me since it only has one bar code, it is only to be used for online purchases as it has the mobile QR code on the left side of the coupon. Thanks!

    • I had a few coupons today that didn’t scan, but I’m not sure if it was the barcode. I need to refill my color ink and I wonder if there may be some part of the bar code that is compromised by it.

I think I’m skipping this weeks ad….there’s just not that much stuff we need right now, or door busters to make me run in. We might wait till next week. =)

So glad u follow the rules, I get crazy seeing others trips with zero oop only to see that they aren’t following the coupon wordings or publix policy, and no I’m not talking about anyone on this site.

    • My publix takes multiple target coupons, but I guess since they are taking a coupon that is meant for Target only then they can decide to take more than one as well… love my publix!
