CVS Shopping Scenario for Beginners 7/8-7/14

OK, I can’t think of a really good way to write up scenarios for this week’s CVS ad because there are so many varying coupons floating around. For example, I received a $5 off $30 CVS store coupon, while others received no coupon, a $3 off $15 or a $4 off $20. Some have $3 off $15 beauty coupons or $2 off candy or beverages coupons. And then there are the varying vitamin coupons that have come out of the CVS Red Coupon Machine this week.

And realistically, how many of us have $2/1 Wisk coupons left? There’s an awesome deal, but I think a lot of us have already used ours.

So with all that in mind, I’m going to share my shopping transaction for tomorrow. If you need help putting your scenario together, post a comment with what deals you want to do and what coupons you have. I’m sure that I (or one of our readers) will help you out.

I will be taking a shot to see if my store will give me the overage on vitamins because I have a $3 off ANY vitamin purchase CVS store coupon from the Red Coupon Machine this past week. Here’s my transaction:

BUY TWO PUREX ULTRA PACKS 18 CT, on sale $1.99
Get $0.67 Extra Care Bucks when you buy Hershey’s Simple Pleasures

and use one $3/1 ANY Vitamin Purchase CVS coupon, Red Coupon Machine 7/1-7/7
and use two $1/1 Purex Ultra Packs printable coupons

Then come back and click the same link to get your 2nd print. This will save you the time spent searching for the coupon.

I have a 5/$30 and (6) $3/2 Olay coupons. I was thinking about using them to get my $10 rebate when u spend $30 on Olay this week (I remember seeing somewhere they were bogo 50%). Good idea? I don’t really need anymore shampoo and I didn’t get the vitamin q. I’m getting some cokes too as we had a regional grocery coupon for $3/3 12 Pks (it’s a manufacturer q though). I thought that was a pretty good price with the q. Sound ok? I know I may have to split the p&g coupons.

    • I can’t say for sure because I don’t know what the items and prices are, but you should do pretty well with the $5 off, $10 rebate, coupons and sale.

      • Amber Howard says:

When I checked online the bodywash was $7.99 and the face wash was $5.99 (there were coupons for both in the p&g insert). I thought it was a good use of q’s and rebate, in an otherwise slowish week. :)

        • I think it’s a decent deal once you factor in everything, but after you go over $30 before coupons it’s not so good, since you don’t get any extra rebate or any extra dollars off your order from CVS. I would just buy enough to meet the minimum requirements to use the $5/$30 and get your rebate.

          • Amber Howard says:

That was what I was thinking. At least it goes towards beauty rewards! :) thanks for your time!

  2. whats the awesome deal on wisk? i still have my qs

  3. Catherine says:

So……whats the aweson deal if we do have our wisk coupons? :)

  4. Catherine says:

Nevermind….my wisk coupon is $2 off but 45oz or larger :(

    • I just checked one of my Wisk bottles in the garage and I’m pleased to let you know that the 32 load bottles on sale are 50 oz. You can use that coupon :)

  5. Hello Steve, I have a question because I’m a litle bit confused about it. I just noticed my receipt from cvs last transaction I made. At the bottom, it says spend 15 get 5 ecb (which I didn’t know about this before until today). I purchased worth $6 towards these products. So does that mean, I still need to purchase $9 to reach the limit in order to get the $5 ecb? It shows the same notation towards the gas deal which I only happened to purchased 1/3 of the requirement.

  6. I apologize, I’m talking about GARNIER deal.

  7. Catherine says:

    Thanks Steve :)

  8. Kristin says:

How can you get the Purex coupon? It says I have already requested my sample but dont see a link for a coupon. Any ideas?

    • Kristin says:

Just figured it out. Answered my own question. If you already requested the sample-you are not eligible for a coupon. I registered with my parents address and instead of requesting a sample, I requested the coupon. Use your back button and can print it twice. You wont be able to request another sample or coupon for that address for a year

    • When you finish requesting the sample it gives you a choice to forgo the sample and take the coupon instead (or still get the sample.) If you’ve already requested the sample, maybe put in another relative’s name/address and then print the coupon instead of taking the sample.

Steve, The link for the Purex takes me to request a sample. It’s not giving me an option for the coupon. Am I missing it?
