How are you able to use the expired ones?
Several weeks back I posted a tip on one of my posts. The cashiers and I were talking and they said that they will take expired CVS coupons. This is not the case at every store. But we have had alot of feedback from other readers that once they asked they were told that they could use expired CVS coupons as well.
CVS lets you use expired coupons?
Some stores do, but only expired CVS coupons (not manufacturer). All you have to do is ask. That was a tip given by my cashiers during a conversation that I didn’t even ask about. Since posting that tip I have had alot of other readers come back and say that they asked and were able to use them at their stores as well.
Wow thanks for sharing because I missed that one. Ill def be the one to ask now!! Thanks
)
You are welcome. It never hurts to ask. Hope it all works out for you.
One of the CVS, let’s me use expired Rewards up to 1 week later, while other won’t let you pass one day.
I have the same issue Eliana. Which is why I had so many for this trip because the manager and cashiers were transferring to this new store and I had to wait for it to open.
I asked about this today and was told recently expired cvs coupons from machine, like a few days old. Thanks for the heads-up.
Awesome Fran! I am glad it is working for you.
My store takes both expired CVS & mfg coupons. My store is awesome! lol….
Yes, your store is AWESOME!!
Hi Monica, I love these shopping trip posts, but unfortunately my CVS does not let me use expired coupons of any kind, not even the Red coupon machine. I would love it if you could do another trip there later this week – this time using the coupons we all have. Thanks so much for all your efforts, I really love this site, and you’re a fabulous addition to this already stellar team!!
Hey Denise. I’m guessing she won’t go back into CVS since there are limits of one per card on most deals, but I will be going today (and my store doesn’t allow expired CVS coupons.)
Thanks Steve! I’ll be looking forward to your shopping trip post! Have a great day!
Thanks! You too
Hey Denise. I’m sorry that you aren’t allowed to use expired coupons. I wish it were across the board for everyone. There have been several that have said that their stores do allow this so I keep posting my trips even with expired coupons as a reminder and help to them as well. But, if I were not allowed to use expired coupons, here is what I would have bought and used the same coupons as mentioned with the exception of the expired. The prices listed below would be my out of pocket expenses after coupons…
2 Starbucks Refreshers – $2 MONEYMAKER after coupons
2 Twix – FREE after coupon
2 Crest – $.48 after coupons
2 Aussie – $2.00 after coupons (not the best price but I still would have bought them because I needed these items)
2 Revlon – $1.98 after coupons
Total out of pocket – $2.46
Are you referring to the new CVS that opened on South Parkway on Sunday? I went in there today and they told me they will not accept expired CVS coupons of any kind. I told them I had read that someone used expired ones there and they said they are not supposed to and will not take them. ???
Yes MC that is the one that I went to. I had no problems at all. I was told by the cashiers that it was the manager’s choice to accept them so if you didn’t have the opportunity to speak to him, I would definitely ask him.
I was wondering if I could use the mars candy bar coupon and a buy 1 get 1 free manufactures coupon?
That is going to depend on your CVS and whether or not they will do overages. If you try this I would definitely have other items in my purchase as well that will defray the overage and I would use the CVS coupon first because that way they will still be free instead of using the BOGO and having to pay if they won’t take them. Just my advice. Hope it works for you!
Thanks!! I will try it and let you know how it works
It worked I got 4 12 packs of Pepsi plus two twix bars and I got$1,19 credit for the bogo candy bar coupon. I used $4 extra care bucks $1 off two mars cvs coupon and the bogo coupon in that order. My tots l wad $7.18 with tax and I still have $3 extra care bucks to spend.
Awesome! Thanks for letting us know.
I got a $1 off 2 mars candy on Sunday and I used it already I scanned my card yesterday and got another one, can i use that coupon again or is it the same one I got sunday and i can’t use it anymore. I was wondering if all the coupons from the coupon machine had different bar codes.
Each one that prints can be used. It does not matter if you have already used one.
thanks
You’re welcome.
Hi Monica, this is completely out of topic but I was just wondering about the deal for pepsi. I bought last week and got the $2 ecb. I wanted to buy again later tonight and my question is will the $2 ecb print out again, or that ecb from last week is good for the whole month since it states limit one? I’m confused!!!
I want to make sure that I know which Pepsi deal you are talking about. If you are talking about the 2/$9 and get $2 ECB then yes you should get another ECB because it is a different sale. Let me know if this is not the sale you were talking about.
Oh my bad, I didn’t specify. It’s the 4/12…
It’s the Pepsi 12oz can 12pk for 4/$12…
That’s why I wanted to make sure. Unless your store has a sign up from last week still the Pepsi 12pk are on sale 2/$9 this week with a $2ECB printing. They are not 4/$12.
Now I’m getting more confused. The add I’m holding with me says July 22-28, and the pepsi add is for 4$12 with $2ecb. Am I missing something? By the way I live in Chicago.
P.S. I don’t see anything in my add that says 2/$9?
The early ad that was released had them 2/$9 with a $2 ECB (looks like they changed it). The ad that is out currently has them for 4/$12 with a $2 ECB. Sorry I was confused too. Yes, you should be able to get them again and get another $2 ECB.
