There you go stocking up on that chocolate again!!! LOL – hope it makes it to the freezer…
Me too. Half of it is still on the kitchen counter. (The other half was given away already.)
i just wish my cvs would take expired cvs red coupon machine coupons or even cvs extra bucks.if its expired they wont take it .it sucks!!!
I never get the good stuff from the Red Machine, but I have noticed that the best coupons come on the second swipe. Great Job.
My CVS is awesome with the manufacturer’s BOGO coupons.
4 Head & Shoulders Shampoo $4.99 each
2 Olay Facial Cleansers $3.74 each
1 Scope Mouthwash $3.74 (this was bought to eat up the negative subtotal)
- BOGO Head and Shoulders up to $9.49 from July P&G
(when my store scans BOGO coupons, it automatically takes off the full allowed amount from the coupon!!) I had two of these coupons so they took off a total of $18.98!
-BOGO Olay Facial Cleanser up to $5.99 from August P&G. Again, my store scanned the coupon and it removed the full value of $5.99.
- $0.75/1 Scope August P&G
-$5/$15 beauty purchase – Red Coupon Machine.
Subtotal = $0.46 ($2.88 after taxes)
Received $5 ECB for purchasing $25+ of specified P & G products
let me see if i understand Scott,
you got the first 7 items for free correct? and also if i am trying to attempt this same deal and i do not have the 5/15 beauty purchase coupon would i be looking at a total of around 6.00 or so?
Christina,
Yes. If your store has the same pricing as mine, your subtotal would be $5.46 and you would get $5 ECB back. I am also assuming your store’s register will ring up BOGO coupons like my store does. That is they deduct the full amount the coupon will allow regardless of the price of the product. You could also do without the Scope mouthwash and pay a subtotal of $2.47. You will still get the $5 ECB because your pre-coupon total will still be over $25. The Head and Shoulders coupon expires tomorrow so you would have to do this deal by then. Either way you do this, it will work out to be a great deal. Good luck!
Stephanie is my CVS couponing hero!
LOL I’ll make sure she checks out this post
Steve. I did the play deal you posted but I beeped cause I use 2 bongo coupons and 1 $3/ 2 they had to override it. Did this happen to anyone else?
Odd. No beeps for me.
I did the deal very similarly to what Stephanie did except minus the $4/$20 and both of the $2 CVS coupons, but i did use a $3/$15 Pantene, Olay, etc…. CVS coupon machine q…….I had no problems and only paid $2.34, got $5 in ECB and submitting for the Olay rebate
I think the only beeps I had were the prompt to enter a price for the Olay body wash
Olay (love auto text)
lol you should see what autocorrect does to my text messages
Was the $0.96 all of the tax or did they allow the coupons to cover some of the tax?
It was 96 cents not including tax. Tax was $2.59 where I live.
Steve, you forgot the crest mouthwash
$1 money maker!!!
Renal, it wasn’t Steve it was all me. Sorry about that!
Also if you still have head and shoulder bogo q. Its a $8 money maker with the CVS sale when you buy 8 of them and use 4q. This has been confirmed by my shopping trip.
Please clarify for me. I am trying to reproduce ur 2nd transaction with the olays, however, the only $3/2 olay coups in the july p&g were for the bath bars, body washes or in-shower body lotions. did u mean to type this in ur report instead of saying $3/2 olay cleansers?
There are two $3/2 coupons in that insert. There is another page with another $3/2 Olay coupon that is good on the cleansers.
i went to all 3 of my cvs stores today and i didn’t find any cleeansers and the coupon expires today.
Ouch, but not surprising. Everyone that has been buying them to do the rebate has been buying them four in one trip.
Yes, they should be having another shipment on Friday, but by then my cleanser coupons would have expired and they said they couldn’t take the mfq. if they are expired, however they do take expired cvs coupons up to five days after expiration date. That was cool I didn’t know that from my cvs.
I tried to do the same deal today.
I bought:
4 Olay Cleansers
2 Olay Body Washes (they had so few left!)
2 Bath Body Bars
2 Old Spice Aqua Reef
$3/15 Olay CVS coupon
I used:
4 BOGO Olay Coupons P&G 7/29 inserts
2 $3/2 Olay coupons 7/1? P&G
$2/2 Old Spice coupon 7/1 P&G
Total came to roughly 39.00+ dollars after CVS card…They let the 2 $3/2 coupons go through fine. Notice that I had 8 Olay items total. The BOGO kept beeping. The manager was called and she tried to argue with me that because I had 2 $3/2 coupons I couldn’t use the BOGO Q’s. Notice, even if that were true, I would have still had 4 Olays unaccounted for that would have been accepted by those coupons. I even had let the cashier know, please, If I got the wrong products (not sure about the body bars until after reading the Q’s carefully—yes they were accepted and were the same price as the body washes). The manager got extremely snippy with me and once she realized her own logic DIDN’T work she still tried to tell me that she’d only override 2 of the Q’s because I shouldn’t be able to use a coupon on a free item. I mentioned to her CVS policy allowed me to do so and she basically interrupted me after 3 words (I even offered to show her on my phone) and said “I don’t care if you show me that, I go off of what I know, I’m the one who signs off on everything here”. She then tried to be “nice” after being extremely rude to me for about 5 minutes saying, “I’ll do it this once but just so you know this is double couponing and that’s WRONG.”
I was so shocked with her behavior and after reading online multiple people doing this deal and even re-reading the policy, she made me think I was in the wrong. Did I do the deal wrong? Or can I legitimately call CVS and complain about my experience? (This is the 2nd time I’ve dealt with this manager and her rude attitude) Let me know, I don’t want to give couponing a bad name and she actually made me feel like I was stealing from HER.
After my stand-off at the register: 15.66 after tax.
$5ECB back and submitting for $10.00 rebate
$0.66 OOP
On a side note I had a great painless experience at Walgreens yet again! So many headaches at CVS :/
My CVS will not let me use a BOGO coupon with the 3/2 coupons so I didn’t even try the OLAY deal. The BOGO coupon attaches to both items they tell me so you cannot use any other manufacturer coupons for the deal. They have always been this way. I can’t do this at Publix or Walgreens either. They all say the same thing. Believe me I have tried
They wouldn’t let me do it either. But I went with a friend and the method that worked was using bogo first then $3/2. Don’t know wh but it did. I have also been told this is “double dipping” because the body washes are already free.
Using the $3/2 and the BOGO coupon is coupon fraud. If you do in fact read the CVS policy you will see that the BOGO coupon attaches to both items. You SHOULD NOT have used both and quite frankly I’m surprised this site was advising ppl to do this transaction!!! Your logic about having two extra Olay items is also flawed…as the BOGO q requires u buy two face washes to get two body washes free…leaving two “unattached” body washes, well the $2/3 is also for face wash…so you did in fact double dip. Go ahead and complain, all you will accomplish is being yet another couponer making us all look crazy and like all we want is stuff for free. Thanks.
Molli,
I am totally missing something here. Where in the CVS coupon policy (http://www.cvs.com/bizcontent/general/help/coupon-policy.pdf) does it say anything about a BOGO coupon attaching to both items? It’s just not there. You must be confused.
Btw, the coupon for the Facial Cleansers is $3/2, not $2/3.
One more thing. Even if the store’s coupon policy says you can’t do something, it is not coupon fraud if a store accepts it.
I’m not saying that people should violate a store’s coupon policy; rather, I’m saying that you are irresponsibly calling it a crime for a store to violate their own policy and accept a coupon.
It is not a crime (“coupon fraud”) for a store or customer to violate a store’s coupon policy. Store coupon policies are not equivalent to law. It is a crime to violate the law.
There is a difference and you should choose your words more responsibly.
I have a question, for tomorrows deals it shows that if u buy one pantene you can get a free styler free can we still use the $3 coupon off 2 pantene items with this sale.
I’m not sure how the CVS registers will work with this one. Since in a BOGO sale you can use a coupon on the free item, I think it will work…but not 100% sure.
it did work i was able to use my pantene coupons and my herbal essence plus herbal essence red coupon machine and was able to get a lot of products for about $12.00 and got back $10.00 in ECB i got 6 herbal essence shampoo, 6 conditioners 5 pantene shampoo and 5 stylers for my 3 girls not a bad day for me.
I forgot i used some ECB i had from last week to bring my total down.
