Here is a simple Walgreens scenario for the week of 6/3. I wrote two different scenarios for Transaction #2, depending on whether or not you have the rare $4/1 coupon that makes the Brainstrong a moneymaker. If you did last week’s transactions, you should have two Register Rewards left from last week – one for $3 and one for $2. We will using both of these rewards in the first transaction of the scenario.

TRANSACTION #1

Assuming you had the $5 of Register Rewards to bring forward to this week, you will spend $3.98-$4.49 plus tax out of pocket to get everything, but you will gain $3 in Register Rewards because you will have $6 left from Transaction #3 and $2 left from Transaction #4. Total net cost is $0.98-$1.49 plus tax for everything!

Just got through planning my Wags trip for tomorrow. Provided they have everything I need and they actually let me get 2 of each RR item I want, I should get 2 Brainstrong DHA, 2 Fish Oil, 2 Reach Floss, 2 Goody’s hair, 2 3 pack Ibuprofen(300 tablets), 2 Coffeemate creamers and 4 Chicken broths for $8.98 including 9% tax. I will carry forward a $7 RR from last week and have $10, $2, $2 RRs left for total of $1.98 including tax for all. Good week for me. Super excited about my 300 Ibuprofen, just hope they will let me do as planned.

Ok…it worked out pretty dang good if I do say so myself. They didn’t have the Reach Floss or the Coffeemate, so I had to revise my plan a little. t got 4 Brainstrong DHA, 3 SuperCritical Fish Oil, 2 boxes baking soda, 2 chicken broths, 1 Reach Toothbrush, 2 Lansoprazole, 2 Goody’s hair barrettes, 3 3pks of Ibuprofen (450 tablets total), and a calculator for my coupon binder. I started with a $7 RR and ended with $22 RR, after less than $10 OOP with tax, they actually paid me $2.45 for all of this stuff. I don’t really give two craps for most of it, but really needed the Ibuprofen, chicken broth and calculator so really excited about those.
The brainstrong coupon is expired as of 5/31/12… did Wags put out a new Vitamins and Supplements book?
They did at some point. The coupon has a 5/2013 expiration date.
