Walgreens Shopping Scenario for Beginners 6/24-6/30

CLICK HERE to join our new "I am a Couponaholic" Facebook Group.

Let me start by advising you to look at the full list of stock-up deals for the 6/24 Walgreens ad. There is an awesome Bayer moneymaker, but you will need 6-7 newspapers to make it work. Obviously, if you do not buy that many newspapers, you will need to rework things a bit. Feel free to comment and either myself, or one of my readers, will try to help you shuffle things around. (Also, note that I left out the Reach Floss deal, because I don’t think many of you will have that coupon. I also left out the Bayer Advanced Aspirin freebie deal because there are better options at other stores where you won’t need to deal with fillers – like CVS, Walmart and Publix.)

  1. Just wondering where to find this Q at the store:Use the $1/1 Coppertone Sport Walgreens store coupon, Walgreens Skin Care Guide (deducts $2).

    • Check for the booklet by the cosmetics counter. My store still had them there this morning.

My local Walgreens wouldn’t honor $10 Register Reward when i bought the Bayer aspirin. Bought 7 at $3.19 each and used 7 $3.00 off coupons. The RR didn’t print. Asked for a manager and he claimed since the total didn’t add up to $20.00 after coupon, the RR didn’t print. Whay happened? New and confused?

    • I wonder if their Catalina machine malfunctioned. I did that exact transaction this morning (but didn’t post it yet) and got the RR.

BTW, your manager is incorrect. The total after coupons is irrelevant. Something else went wrong. Save your receipt and call the Catalina Company. (They run the Register Rewards machines, not Walgreens.) I believe their number is 1-888-8COUPON

Steve, Have I told you lately that you’re awesome? Well you are! I did the Bayer this morning at two Walgreens – one had them at $2.99 each and they had to mark down the last $3/1 Bayer and my total was $0.00 and I got my $10.00 RR – YIPPIE! I decided to splurge and roll some other RR into papers so I could do it again. I went to a different Walgreens (don’t want to wipe out a Walgreens of all their Bayer :)… At this Walgreens they were $3.19 each – weird how a Walgreens not even 5 minutes away has a different price. Anyway it worked great again!

I didn’t see your Bayer scenerio on any other blog. Thanks again!

    • You’re welcome! Always happy to help :)

I just did the deal one time. I just wanted to get home ASAP after doing my newspaper run. I’m going to go back out into the terrible weather shortly.
