I stopped by Rite Aid today and got a few good deals. They were out of the Colgate so I had to get a raincheck for it. I was pretty tired so I forgot to use one of my coupons and the Act II did not generate the +Up like it was supposed to so they just put that on a gift card for me.

My local stores use a local ad and this time some of the items were included in the local ad as well as the national ad so I broke my transactions up and did the local ad in one transaction and the national ad in another just to keep everything easy for myself. The local stores will accept the national ad if you have it in your hand.  I printed the national ad from Rite Aid’s website and took it with me and that was sufficient. The other thing to note is that when you use the national ad at a store that uses a local ad +Up Rewards will not print. The store will take the +Up Rewards that you would have earned directly off of your order.

In transaction #1 I purchased the GE light bulbs which were not in the national ad (that I am aware of) but were in my local ad this week.

Monica, I went in today and purchased 4 of the Act II Popcorn. I asked the manager about the Up reward before I purchased them but he acted as if he had no clue so I bought the first two and the Up reward printed and then I purchased the other 2 with the 2.00 up from the first transaction. Did I do the transaction right? I have never had any luck with drug store coupon shopping but after finding this site I must say I am doing pretty good.

Thanks for your post we love popcorn. Thank you for all you do as well.

    • You are so welcome. Yes, you did do the transaction correctly and kudos to you that your store actually had them printing for the ActII (most, including mine, are not). You should have gotten a second +Up on the second transaction for another $2 for the second two that you purchased because the limit is 2 rewards. If that happened then great job.
