I’m working on the drugstore deals this week and a deal popped off the page at me. There will be a $10 Register Reward printing when you buy $20+ of Bayer Apirin 32-300 ct (and/or Aleve 20-200 ct.)

We are expecting a coupon in the 6/24 SS newspaper insert for $3/1 ANY Bayer Aspirin 20 ct or higher. Although the coupon pictures the Bayer Advanced Aspirin products in the purple box, the coupon does not prohibit use on the regular Bayer products. This fact, combined with the Walgreens Register Rewards deal, means we have a great moneymaker.

The picture to the right is from my Walgreens store, which sells the Bayer Low Dose Aspirin 32 ct for only $3.19. Other stores will have this item ranging in price from $2.99-$3.49. I have provided a few different scenarios for you based on the pricing. The most important thing you must know is this: To hit $20 before coupons, you must buy SEVEN Bayer products if your price is below $3.34 each; if your store has them at a price higher than this, you must only buy SIX Bayer products.

BUY SEVEN BAYER LOW DOSE 32 CT, regular price $2.99-$3.29
Get $10 Register Rewards when you buy $20 of Bayer Aspirin 32-300 ct
Use seven $3/1 ANY Bayer Aspirin 20 ct or larger, 6/24 SS newspaper insert
Price at Register: As low as $0.00 (but as high as $2.03), but get $10 Register Rewards

BUY SIX BAYER LOW DOSE 32 CT, regular price $3.39-$3.49
Get $10 Register Rewards when you buy $20 of Bayer Aspirin 32-300 ct
Use six $3/1 ANY Bayer Aspirin 20 ct or larger, 6/24 SS newspaper insert
Price at Register: $2.34-$2.94, but get $10 Register Rewards

Extreme Couponing Tip: You can usually get two prints of most internet coupons. To find them in the easiest possible way, use our preclipped links that take you right to the coupon. Then come back and click the same link to get your 2nd print. This will save you the time spent searching for the coupon.

Sounds awesome, and theres no “4 like coupons per transaction” wording on the Q either?

  2. Hey Steve I also saw this deal today and Happy to report that the $3 coupon is in the Miami Herald newspaper insert.

  3. We probably won’t get that coupon. *sigh*

  4. No Bayer coupon in the Tallahassee Democrat. We never get the good ones.

Hi Steve! So I’m a little concerned about doing this deal, only because I checked my Walgreens this morning and the 32 count Low Dose Bayer is actually $2.99 each. Since the coupon is a penny more, will this cause the register to beep? Or if I get a filler to take my total over the $21 in coupons, will that work? I just don’t want to get into a kerfuffle with the cashier if they don’t know that they can adjust the coupon down, or if they don’t know how to do it at all…any advice is thoroughly appreciated. Thanks!

    • The last coupon will beep and they are supposed to adjust it to $2.93. And the coupon will still beep even if you buy something else because your Bayer purchase will be under the $21 value of the Bayer coupons.

My suggestion is to take seven $3/1 coupons and a $1/1 coupon from the 4/29 RP newspaper insert. Give them the seven $3/1 coupons. If the last one beeps and they won’t adjust it down, trade the last $3/1 coupon for a $1/1 coupon and have them use that instead. Then pay $1.93 and get a $10 RR back for an $8.07 moneymaker.

  6. The Walgreen’s where I shop limits any sale item to (4) per purchase.. Eventually all stores will be doing this so management told me.

    • There’s a way around that if your store still has stock. Split your seven items between regular Bayer Low Dose and the chewable Bayer “Baby Aspirin” at the same price.

  7. i went to my walgreens and tried to purchase one bayer with the -3 off coupon and it won’t ring up… the cashier informed me that i can’t use a coupon on a sale item, she called her manger over and he agree!! anyone else has this problem? i am sacred to try else where…

    • omg that is ludicrous. the ad shows the calculation on the Bayer Advanced with the $3 coupon factored in.

      • WOW! If that was the case you wouldn’t be able to use coupons on anything in the store that was on sale!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is the whole point of couponing matching coupons to sale items to get at rock bottom prices! I would definitely call corporate and complain I would!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
