Publix (Monica) – $1.02 PROFIT on $44.92 worth of merchandise (102.2% savings)

I have been putting off doing the Conagra Rebate but I couldn’t miss the ketchup. Ketchup gets put on chicken, steak, pork chops, fries, and anything else that my son feels needs some added flavor. I also realized that my child is 10 years old and has never had the pleasure of trying vienna sausages. I got several of them because if he doesn’t like them then they will go in the donation pile easily. I forgot to grab the hotdogs out of the fridge so they are not pictured but I will include them below…

FOUR VAN CAMPS PORK & BEANS – regular price $.97

  1. How do I get ahold of these breakfast coupons?

    • They came in the paper June 5th or June 6th depending on your area. They expire tomorrow the 20th so I don’t see a way to get any at this point.

  2. Natalie Diaz says:

The $25 is before or after coupons?

  3. Michele says:

Is anyone else reporting the snapware coupon as regional? I’m in Jax, and can’t find it in the 4/29 SS! I was really looking forward to a MM for this week’s trip :(

  4. Where did you get, Publix Booklet, Stock Up for Summer Savings

    • I got it a couple of weeks ago at Publix when the peanut butter was on sale and they had a display set up in the front of the store. The booklets were in the display.

  5. I would like to submit for the congra rebate but I am not sure how it works when you live in
the land of BOGO. Does the second item that we get for free count or the one that we actually purchase?

    • I don’t live in the land of “true” BOGO so I can only go off of what I have read from others. The free item does not count towards the $25 purchase. Hopefully someone will comment and can give you a definate answer.

  6. Monica is right, the free BOGO item does not count toward the total needed to secure the rebate. The good news, the total is before coupons and any $5 off coupons that you may use. From the land of the real BOGO, Central FLA. :)

I noticed that your total does not appear to reach $30 before tax. Does your Publix always allow that or did they not notice or did you buy some other small item not listed? My math comes up with $28.98 before tax.

    Just curious?

Great shop – I’m going to do one last ConAgra today – you’ve inspired me.

    • I didn’t even realize I had done that. I don’t know if that is something they allow because I have never done it before and didn’t mean to do it this time. I was so worried about hitting the $25 mark for the rebate that I didn’t even realize that I didn’t hit the $30 mark before taxes.

  8. I went in Publix yesterday and they said they were out of breakfast coupons but it didn’t matter since they would give discount anyway. I purchased $50 worth of groceries and had credit of $20 back. Lots of Mrs. Pauls fish and vitamins, first time I did something like this and have some kind of guilt feelings not sure why. Trying to decide if I should go back today for more. How common is it to do this, never see anyone else doing so. Person behind me in line wasn’t happy but i did worn them first of all the coupons. Is it taking advantage to do this of the store in anyway, i really need to save and while I won’t use the vitamins I can donate them and there also seems to be a market on EBAY for them. Any thoughts on feeling funny about this although we desperately need the savings.

    • Congratulations on your “jackpot”. The first thing that you should know is that the stores are reimbursed by the manufacturers for any manufacturer coupons you use appropriately, so the store itself is not hurting. The stores also strategically place store coupons for different reasons, to boost sales, move inventory, or gain attraction. As for checking out, you will almost always (even after warning them) have people behind you that are not happy. I just apologize and smile, if I see something in their order that I can offer them a coupon for then I will do so. Sometimes just a polite conversation will settle people. And last but not least it is very common for people to return to the store. There are some weeks that I am in Publix 4 out of the 7 days. You and only you know your situation.

  9. We did go back and the cashier said other people do the same, I just haven’t seem it. The coupons are either from newspaper which I get or newspapers my friends don’t use the coupons in or I print online. What I have noticed is you have to watch the cashiers, I only hand each coupon one by one and see it record before giving another, some cashiers don’t like this but in the past they make mistakes. Today I didn’t check recipe and got home and thought it didn’t add up, they charged me for an item over and above which I should have caught when in the store, now I have to go back but it is an extra $5.
