I stopped into Publix this afternoon to shop this sale one last time. I picked up a bunch of Whiskas (which we sorely needed), plus I found some Snapware as well. I didn’t get to use all my coupons for the Snapware, so I needed to buy something else to get to $60 before coupons. I settled on the Mama Mancini’s Meatballs (and the first box did not disappoint whatsoever!)

Great trip. I went a little crazy with the snapware I just couldn’t pass up free storage! I bought a bunch of coupons and unfortunately had to get some rainchecks because my stores have been out of alot of them. I figured I could redo my pantry and get rid of all the cheap gladware and ziploc containers and now have nice snapware containers!

Have you eaten the Mrs. Paul’s fish in parchment? We had the talapia (sp?) last night and it was horrible.Maybe i got some bad fish.

    • I have a bunch of them in the freezer from this sale and the one before it. I haven’t tried them yet because we don’t fire up the oven much. The AC system is older and we try to avoid overworking it.

Know what? I’m going rounds with my local Publix over that Mrs. Paul’s BOGO/BOGO fish! In SC, they charge them at the register as 1/2 price ea (eg., $2.24 & $2.25), then they would only give me 1/2 as my coupon amount. I went back & forth with the cashier & the CS Mgr, before finally giving up & telling them I was calling corporate. (None of us was nasty about it, tho) Anyway, I finally talked to a VERY nice lady in corporate today who agreed with me, but wanted to double check it with a manager there, and said she would call back. I’m sure they’re going to discuss it with the store, too. Anyway, still waiting for a call back – will update this when I do.

    • I think they are going to rule against you. That is one of the pitfalls of 50% BOGOs. Of course, you guys and your double coupons drive me nuts. For example, the Yakisoba will be a MM for you in the new ad, but just free for us.

      • You were right, Steve. (Where are the angry emoticons when you need them??) But I’m not finished with them yet. ;) It’s false advertising to advertise BOGO, when in fact it’s a 2Fer.

So I wasn’t sure what was going to happen when I went to another Publix with my Yakisoba coupons. I mean, it’s a 50¢ coupon (which will double) for a 99¢ BOGO. But, it went fine. I got 10 for free, with 15 more coupons to go. :)))))) I’m also going to try the other Publix in town for the next BOGO I get, just to see……

        • You should get overage on your Yakisoba coupons with doubles. 99 cents total for two minus $2 of coupons (after doubles) = two for free plus $1.01 overage. Was that how it worked out for you?

Unfortunately, mine were just a penny of overage for every two I bought :(

          • Oh, ya know, I don’t go after overage much. I only used 5 coupons for 10 pkgs, so it just covered it, and by the end of the week I’ll have 40 pkgs of Yakisoba for my 20 coupons. hehehe

          • Ahhh I see…you’re just not as cheap as me. That’s what you’re sayin’ ;)

          • Cindy C says:

HaHa! No. I’m on a fixed income now & I’m feeding 3 adults, 5.5 dogs & 3 cats, plus the occasional nephew that drops by. lol
