I went shopping at Walgreens yesterday, but for some reason I couldn’t find the Ecotrin coupons in my 5/6 Red Plum newspaper insert. Then today I was prepping for a quick stop at Publix to pick up some Sominex and Turkey Burgers and I found the Ecotrin coupon on the same page as the $1/1 Advantage Brands coupon (which is for Sominex.) So I hustled over to Walgreens, fully expecting the shelf to be cleared, but I was surprised to find more than a dozen boxes of Ecotrin!

I did three identical transactions. Each one looked like this one:

BUY TWO ECOTRIN LOW-DOSE ASPIRIN 45 CT, on sale 2/$3 (regular price $3.49)
Get $2 Register Rewards when you buy two Ecotrin
Used two $1.50/1 ANY Ecotrin coupon, 5/6 RP newspaper insert
Price at Register: NOTHING, but received $2 Register Rewards
NET PRICE FOR ALL: $2 MONEYMAKER!

As I mentioned above, I repeated this transaction two more times.

Total Retail Value of All Merchandise: $20.94
Net Price Paid for Everything: $6 PROFIT!
Savings Rate: 128.7%

    Hope you had a wonderful vacation!!! I am a little confused about using RR’s on the same product you just purchased. My Wags will not allow me to use RR’s to purchase the same product. I have to purchase something else with them.

      I didn’t have to use any Register Rewards. The manufacturer coupons made the total $0 and I got a $2 RR each time. I still have all three $2 RRs I earned and paid nothing out of pocket.

    Had a good trip myself today! 2 Ecotrins, 2 Colgate, 1 Skintimate shave cream, 2 Comet, a greeting card, 1 caramel =$2.26 over 2 transactions. Got back $10 in RR! Yippeee!

    I did the same deal!! Thanks for letting us know about it. I thought the same thing, at my Walgreens there were so many left and I only wished I had more coupons! Again, thanks for all your info it really helps me!

    I have been to two more walgreens today and the shelves are cleared! I am pissed! how many can i get a raincheck for?

      You probably can only get a raincheck for the price. I don’t think they can force a RR to print after the sale ends because they don’t control what comes out of the Catalina machine; that is a different company.

        Go for raincheck, I highly recommend!!!!!! I do all the time on items but no RR. Still freebies without RR though.
