From the moment I saw the Smithfield Ham sale, I knew I would be making a second trip to Publix this week. Then I picked up a couple of BOGO Crystal Light coupons back on Friday night(?) from their web site (no longer available to print.) Add in a $2 Publix Bakery coupon and some vitamins and I scored a great deal.
Of course, since I waited until the last day of the sale the smallest packages of Smithfield were a little larger than the last time I went to Publix. If they had been smaller packages like last time, they would have owed me a few dollars for this trip.
Here’s the full list of what I bought today, along with the coupons used:

those hams are very good : ) i have only found ones by me that are about $3.67 and up to $6.00 still not bad : )
I found two tiny ones the first day of the sale, $2.03 & $2.96 I think. But yeah, most of them are around 1.5 lbs.
Gotta’ put um on the grill…the only way to go. Brings it to a new level
I’ll try that. Thanks!
Publix is not going to sell them anymore. I month ago I was looking at some store and asked manager, he said that they would order it. I checked the same store in 2 weeks and he said that nothing in stock. In my closed Publix they still were selling it, but quality wasn’t good. Now they don’t have it too and they swithc to another brand which is cheaper- regular price $2.99
Ahhhh well I’m glad I used up on my coupons. We like these a lot. In fact, I just had a ham salad pita made with some of the ham that I bought on the first day of the sale.
they are regular price here … too bad.
Thanks for posting this! I’d forgotten about these coupons and had 4. Last Saturday, my husband found boneless sliced hams at Kroger for 1.99 per pound. I coincidentally found a $1 off blinkie that someone had discarded and got one for under $4, we were thrilled. We’ve used it for pizza, subs, and quesadillas and still have plenty left. I headed back today and picked up 4 more hams with the $2 off coupons and paid less than $3 per ham. These will be headed for the freezer. I think we’re set on ham for the year.
Awesome! I tossed almost all of these in the freezer too. And I was finally starting to make room in there – ughhh!
May i ask what is your sales tax rate? in my town it is 9.5%. I hate we still have a grocery tax.
7% and no tax on groceries (except beverages other than water and dairy.)
