It’s hard to believe it, but yes I did spend over $9 (plus tax) at CVS today. When the Banana Boat coupon value was $2 in my paper, I decided to stock up for the upcoming pool season. I also spent a little bit more on the Hallmark deal because I wanted to include my mom’s birthday and Mother’s Day cards, and the $1.49 cards just weren’t cutting it.

I also did not have either of the regional Physician’s Formula coupons, and I was planning to pick up the Suavitel but didn’t have that coupon either. I also couldn’t find the Dream Water at my store. Needless to say, I had to make a few last minute adjustments.

Note: The Physician’s Formula Concealer did not automatically print the Extra Care Bucks. I showed the cashier the ad and he forced it to print.

Anyways, here’s what I bought and the coupons used:

THREE HALLMARK CARDS, regular price $1.49, $2.79 & $2.79
ONE GEL TEARS EYE DROPS, on sale $8.99 (regular price $12.29)
Get $3 Extra Care Bucks when you buy three Hallmark Cards
Get $8.99 Extra Care Bucks when you buy Blink or Gel Tears
Get $7 Extra Care Bucks when you buy ANY Physician’s Formula Cosmetic
Used one $3/3 Hallmark Cards priced $1.49 or higher printable
and used one $1/1 Blink or Gel Tears printable coupon (zip 33712)
Price at Register: $18.05 (plus $0.91 sales tax), but received $18.99 of Extra Care Bucks
(I used a bunch of ECBs to lower the out-of-pocket quite a bit from $18.05)

FOUR BANANA BOAT PRODUCTS, on sale $6.99 each (regular prices: $10.49, $10.99, $12.99 & $12.99)
Get $10 Extra Care Bucks when you spend $25 on select products (Banana Boat 4-8 oz included)
Used four $2/1 Banana Boat coupon, 4/22 SS newspaper insert
Price at Register: $19.96 (plus $1.47 sales tax), but received $10 Extra Care Bucks
(I used all $18.99 of my ECBs from Transaction #1 to bring my out-of-pocket way down.)

Total Retail Value of All Merchandise: $72.81
Net Price Paid for Everything: $9.02
Savings Rate (excluding tax): 87.6%
Savings Rate (including tax): 84.8%

Did you try the CVS pharmacy hallmark coupon and the manufacture? No go item?

    • I forgot the manufacturer coupon. I will have Stephanie or Naomi try it with their card soon (maybe tonight.)

      • cookinmom says:

no hurry…thanks for your speedy reply! I think it will work with both, let’s think positive. I’m gonna try it tomorrow. Some cheap banana boat, way ta go, good job! I may do the same.

        • No problem. I will let you know how it goes. I’m hoping that four Banana Boats will get us through the summer. Even though we have a pool, both of us don’t really use sunscreen often, although I should use some on the top of my head when I go biking. (My hair is thinning on top of my dome.)

Hate to say but those bottles don’t last long. To me, they barely put anything in them. I have thick hair and still burn my scalp…so, join the club lol

          • Well good thing they had some hangtags on them. I bought four with hangtags and used four newspaper coupons, so now I’m ready for another deal even if we don’t have a coupon later in the season ;)

    • Both coupons worked for me in 2 different transactions and 2 CVS cards since there is a limit to get only one of those deals with your card. I was shopping with my sis, so we had used our cards to get those 2 deals. Our CVS have those $2 coupons attached to the Banana Boat products, so you don’t have to have the paper coupons. We ended up paying nothing for 8 items of Banana!!!!

I had the same problem with the concealer, but my cashier forced print the ECB. I saved over $40the and spent less than $4 and have 5.79 to use later! It was a great week for me.

  3. My Publix has BOGO Hallmark card coupons on tear pads in the card section right now.

  4. The $2.00 coupon for the cards didn’t want to work, but they manually entered it, I used it with the 3 off order card coupon. The 1.49 cards weren’t good at my CVS either.

  5. I didn’t find any $1.49 Hallmark cards at my CVS but I was pleased to see the Mahogany cards was part of the deal too….I found some nice $1.99 and $2.99 cards….I was able to use the $3 and the B4G1 coupons…

  6. Just a FYI: The limit of “The Jonathan Adler Designed Roll Cover with one roll inside” is FOUR ! So per card you can get 4 boxes/rolls for only tax which was for me 56 cents for 4 rolls :) They are $1.99 get back $1.99 ECB
