  1. Hello,

I went to DG and they would not accept all my coupons. I came home and noticed that on my recent manufacturer coupons it states it can not be combined with any other coupons. I am new at this and was wondering does this mean I can not stack them with store coupons? The newer coupons area also limiting purchases to four items per shopping trip.

    • Hi Nicole,

The “can not be combined with other coupons” is a bit tricky. Everybody seems to have a different opinion on it. I think that wording is included so people do not use a cents-off coupon with a BOGO coupon. For example, some stores will allow you to use a BOGO coupon with an additional coupon on the one the customer is “buying.” Others may interpret this differently, but I think this is the manufacturer’s intention. The problem is that such wording is left to interpretation because manufacturers don’t offer any clarification to the public at large.

As for the “four items per shopping trip coupons”…I think the wording is “four like coupons per shopping trip.” If that’s the case, you can buy more items if you find a different coupon, but you will need to abide by these limitations.
