Walgreens 2/12 – Paid $20.56 on $43.93 of Merchandise (Saved 53.2%)

Today wasn’t the best day of Walgreens shopping for us my any means. I went to Wags during the wee hours to try the Cottonelle deal, but Walgreens is not participating, so I paid more than I typically pay for toilet paper. I also forgot to stop in this afternoon to pick up my free Got2B stylers, so I will have to do that later in the week. (I’m deciding whether or not to return the Cottonelle. If I do so, I will edit this post.)

We were getting close to needing the Hefty bags, so it was worth paying a little to stock up and we were in ok shape on the toilet paper, but I’ll probably take my lumps on this deal and keep what I bought, even though the deal didn’t work out as planned. At least I won’t have to look for a deal anytime soon.

You can’t win them all, and at least I didn’t pay full price (which I would have done one year ago!)

Is the hefty bags a stockpile price?

I think it’s a hold-me-over price. Sometimes I like to use the Walgreens store brand items as fillers when they are on sale, but we found ourselves running low and decided to go for it.

If you are brand-loyal, I think it may be a stock-up price. I don’t think I’ve really seen them cheaper than $1.14 each since I’ve been couponing, but I may be wrong.
