We were going to be near a Michael’s store, so we decided to stop in and use the $5 off $5+ purchase printable coupon I wrote about yesterday. The coupon excludes clearance and BOGO sales, but most regular price merchandise and sale prices are included. My roommate’s first transaction attempt didn’t work out, because the item she had chosen was on clearance, even though it wasn’t marked, but she easily found a different deal that worked out fine.

Hubby wasn’t thrilled about running out as soon as he got home from work, but he was very happy to see the stocked up freezer of “goods” for Superbowl when we got home!! (My publix run today using your gift card!

My transaction got messed up. But, of course, I have that type of luck. I bought two items, the first one was suppose to be 4.00 and the second one was 1.50. But of course she accidentally rang up the 4.00 one twice and I swiped my card early so the transaction went through. I showed her the receipt as soon as I got done and she was so confused because of the coupon and how to process the transaction that I just paid the 3.00. lol, only these things happen to me I think.

ah, Milissa, I hear you!!! Had the worst cashier at Publix today!!! Expected to pay $45, but paid $63 oop, she didn’t ring up some coupons, and lectured me for using coupons and she got confused what she put threw while lecturing me, while my daughter threw coupons at her, yeah, we all have off days!! She added the $10.00 gift card to my total and never took it off..sigh..have to go back tomorrow!! Must be the Sambazon curse I purchased again today…;)
p.s. my daughter, who is 3, was also scream counting in Spanish to ten as I checked out…as she threw her expired coupons (an envelope I made for her) at cashier…bad trip!!!

I was wondering if yesterday my cashier @ Publix was right about not letting me use 2 coupons, $5/50 Albertsons (competitor) and $5/25 Save a Lot( also a competitor). Total purchase:$50.70
Till now I was able to use 2 competitor coupons in the same transaction.
Yes, they were correct. The policy on “dollars off your total order” coupons is this: up to one Publix and one competitor, as long as your pre-coupon subtotal meets both purchasing requirements.
Ex. one $5/$30 Publix and one $5/$25 Save-a-Lot requires a $55 total purchase.
The way to get around the rules to use two competitor coupons is to break your order into two different transactions.
I used to the $5.00 of 5 today to help pay for my daughters project. We each had our own transactions….Yeah for us.
