Here are the full contents of the Ald weekly ad that runs from 2/22 to 2/28 (2/19-2/25 for some.) After watching the Aldi ads over the past few weeks, the roommate and I have decided that we’re going to start stopping in periodically to pick up some produce deals. I’ve decided to start sharing the info from the weekly ad with you; that way you can do the same if you see something that catches your eye.
A few notes about Aldi:
1) Aldi does not accept coupons, but their prices on produce are simply amazing.
2) You must bring your own bags at Aldi. Alternatively, you can purchase a reuseable bag at the store.
3) You rent your shoppng cart for a quarter, so make sure you bring one with you. You then get the quarter back when you return your cart.

I have not been to an Aldi’s since the early 90′s and that was in Iowa. Tell me how it goes, my cleaning lady swears by their prices.
They are incredible for the people that don’t use coupons at all. From what I’ve heard, the produce is usually pretty high-quality, plus you can price match produce at a lot of Walmarts (if you dare.)
I don’t know that the price matching will work this week though, since the prices are “per package” and not “per pound”
Also from Iowa and have shopped at Aldi’s for 20 years and was disappointed they were not in FL when we first moved here. The closest one is still 15 miles away, so just not worth the gas. I just got a Save-A-Lot 1 1/2 miles away and make a trip there every week for my filler items, and they do take coupons. Still love me some Aldi’s though.
Two more notes about Aldi: They don’t accept credit cards (but do accept ATM/Debit Cards) and you probably won’t recognize 1% of the labels on their packaging. First time I went there, it was as if I had landed on another English-speaking planet. In fairness, it takes a few visits to get the knack of using them for what they’re best at. Not all products are of comparable quality to name or store brands at more familiar chains, but most people agree their produce is worth the look.
great price for the milk, a gallon for 2.89 (pembroke pines store), also the eggs ( dozen) 0.74 , and the cottage cheese is 2.20 for the big ones. I shop there weekly and I like. Just I wish they accept credit card .
I absolutely love this store!!!! Just discovered it a few weeks ago when they open a new one on SW. 87 Ave Miami. Strawberries are 99 ct’s the same size pack you get at publix on sale for 2/5.00/ A gallon of Milk at my Aldi store is $2.97. Filet Mignon wraped in bacon 4 oz is $1.89 per pack!!!!!!!!! I coundn’t believe it but indeed it’s true!!!!!!! Funny thing is every time I’ve been at my ALDI store I see countness people on their cell phone sharing this great Deals!! I am the kind of shopper that won’t buy something unless I have a coupon for it however this store is my only exception! =)
I was just there today and you can’t really beat there produce prices. They are great! (I don’t price match often at Walmart, it’s not worth the hassel.) I usually go there for their produce and if I need something that’s not on sale. Chips there (taste great too) are one example of great prices are only a 1.19 a bag, not too bad. considering a bogo you will still probably pay more if no coupons are available. I love Aldi’s and when I went today they were swamped the lines were really long! So my advice is to not go on a Wens, the first day of the sale.
A friend of mine has a sister who is a manager at an Aldi’s and she let us know that their Fit and Active ice cream bars and treats are actually Skinny Cow and the milk they sell is the Horizon Organic Milk with a different label. Apparently many manufacturers do this – they produce their product and then package it in a generic line and a higher-end line – all the same ingredients but with a different label. Also some of their cereal is Kelloggs. Yes, some of their items taste like Dollar store knock-offs, but you can’t beat the price and taste of their ground turkey!
