There is a pretty good deal on All Laundry Detergent at DG this week, so I decided to make a quick stop in the Dollar General by my house to pick up a few bottles. There’s nothing particularly special about this trip, but I decided to still make a note of it on the site.

Did you have any trouble with the coupons not working?
I think the DG store coupons beeped (or maybe it was just the second one), but they pushed them through.
I went last night to DG and the second coupon beeped. The manager was called and she basically accused us of just printing duplicate coupons because they all had the same code on them. We tried to say that they are from YOUR website, but she cut us off and wouldn’t even let us finish. She did manually put the coupons through but was a totally ignorant. I will think twice before going back to DG.

Kathy, please email them from the DG website or call the 800#. I call the 800 with and issue I had a few weeks ago. The district manager called me back and corrected the issue.
I tried to check out and she asked which 2 coupons I wanted to use, I told her I wanted to use all 4 and she would not let me

I would print it and take it back to the store. Give them a chance to read it over. If they still refuse, politely tell them that you will be contacting corporate about the matter (and then do so!)

Thank u Steve for this wonderful deal! I tried to buy 4 this morning but the coupons wouldn’t go through! the cashier called the manager(who was XTREMELY sweet) She rang them up separately with no problem!

FYI The store coupon is only for the new “Fresh Start” type of All. They let it go as a courtesy since the cashier and I missed that detail. The register will only accept one of each type of DG store coupon per transaction. If the mft coupon does not have the older narrower bar code on the left of the newer wider double stacked bar code, the scanners / DG will not accept the coupon. DG will not hold a product for you.
My friend is a manager and couponer at Dollar General. Depending on the store if it is older and you have the new coupon with both barcodes have your cashier scan it with the scanning GUN. She was having huge problems with the aquafresh coupons that only have a new barcode on them and would not scan at all. Also here the registers are not allowing more than one store and manufacturer stack per transaction. They are working on it. All you should have to do is separate transactions and they will go through. Hope this helps. Happy Couponing!
